the sata ssd is the old main drive but kept it for extra space

The release order (ordered by when the games were released officially) is CE, 2, 3, ODST, Reach, 4. The chronological order (ordered roughly by timeline within the Halo universe) is Reach, CE, 2, ODST, 3, 4. I personally would recommend release order to get a feel for the gameplay mechanics better.

It's a glitch that should've been patched because the way his dog spawns because of constant fucking bullet spray by Mecha Zombies is bullshit

Marauder having enemies activate his shield turned him from having the greatest potential to being just annoying

He could have been a solid pressure unit tossed in with hordes

Except whenever a master level tries to do this it suffers as a result because everyone is making him pause, raise shield, release dog etc

I mean, that's what he really is in some fights, but it stops being fun pretty soon because he spawns in the dog again as soon as you kill it

Because of other enemies (particularly Mecha Zombies)

I still love the Marauder but these little things that about him are pretty bullshit

I also think that meat-hooking onto him shouldn't make him spawn the dog tbh

Yeah, and the worst scenario is when he runs straight at you to swing his axe, but then right as he's about to do that, someone shoots him in the back and he just pulls out his shield

He's still an amazing enemy, but these things are pretty annoying

Invincibility is unnecessary for him. If he was always vulnerable like the shield soldiers, I’d like it more. The green flash is dumb because he often makes other moves that would realistically be an opportunity to attack him around his shield.

If they cleaned up his AI that would be nice. But recycling his gimmick for other enemies is just boring. The Gladiator is the only exception considering you can actually damage him before the green eye flash.

Playing the waiting game for him only to get grazed by an enemy projectile and then the whole process repeats

I agree that enemy projectiles shouldn't affect him or his behavior in any way, but the Marauder isn't a "waiting game" because he attacks you pretty frequently

The Dark Lord is a game of waiting because it actually takes him fucking forever to attack you

Once you get the weapon mastery of PB, all headshots create this moderately powerful blast around that demon and it basically makes sure that the other nearby fodder demons die immediately as well

My problem currently is that I’ve beat the level on UV but NM is still a huge grind

I finished the campaign on HMP, and then currently retrying some specific arenas on UV, sometimes reloading checkpoint to see if I can manage the combat flow without taking too much damage. I managed to learn specific quirks and do's and don'ts regarding certain arenas, such as areas I should play more and areas I shouldn't get caught on by demon hordes (especially arenas in Urdak & Final Sin). doing this in preparation of buying & doing TAG1 lol

but in general, being midair is king (might be stating the obvious but yea). so MH launches and jump pads are my best friend. also MH + PB for quick armor regen to save Flame Belch for bigger hordes

Super hard to do. How do you get past the Cybers and Carcasses that block your entry to the bridge?

It sounds bad if you go into it without some crucial strategies

For that section, you can use a lock-on burst and a blood punch on each of the 4 cyber mancubi (or ssg-blood punch-ssg). And then, be at full health & armor while you do so that you can use the flame belch to get more blood punches back when the other two spawn.

Then leave some zombies alive for chainsawing later.

Crucible the first archvile, Destroyer Blade (16/50) the carcasses, and then freeze and two lock-on burst the other archvile and clean up the last carcas.

It does take some practice, but with smaller more confined sections like that, you need to absolutely know how to kill some demons quickly otherwise you are screwed lol

This ML took a few deaths up until the room where the hoards of Hell Knights, Whiplashes, and Pinkies spawn. After that, I got it on my first try. The last arena is pretty fun!

I did have to use a Saving Throw on the buff totem area halfway through the level though, because I got stuck trying to jump up to avoid the fodder and the mancubi.

I struggled in the beginning of the level when I first did it on NM for two reasons: I was only targeting one-hit kills with lock-ons, and I wasn't using the destroyer blade at all.

Ahhh that one. Toss an ice bomb, use a destroyer blade (50/50) and blood punch the mancubi. You can dblade 16/50 the carcasses.

The 1st dblade should take out the revenant and weaken one if not both mancs

If you don't kill one of the mancs just toss a few frags and run backwards. The area isn't blocked off yet when they first spawn. They don't chase you very far though.

Focus your quick swap combo ONLY on the marauder. Use your flame belch, meathook, frags and ice bombs for the other enemies.

the hell knights are kinda like fodder in that fight lol

I take out the first marauder and the second one appears after taking out the cyber manc

That way you can get a break between the two

Do not use your bfg there. You will regret it later in the level (particularly the final arena).

There are several BFGs between there and the end though

I used a bfg in one other place towards the end of the level. IIRC, there are 4 charges between that battle you're at and the end of the level (2 before the big arena, 1 is in the final big arena and 1 is right after).

Regardless, I would recommend trying it without a bfg. You can do it bud

Lol it’s not exactly one on one. It’s hard to bait him, and then when he does flash there’s other demons around. I tried getting in his face with the BFG but both times they hit his shield
