If you guys remember, I beat the second trial of blood swamps last night. The half of the medallion or whatever you pick up from sentinel hologram even showed up. Once the battle was over, everyone was dead and the battle music was gone, I exited from the game cause I was tired and said to myself “I’ll finish the level tomorrow”. I open the game again today and apparently it didn’t save me finishing the battle and I have to do it again. I haven’t been this angry at a video game ever before in my life lmao

That’s why you have to make sure it has shown you hitting a checkpoint before exiting out.
The game would benefit from something letting you know how long it has been since the last checkpoint though.

Just be glad you didn’t make the mistake of leaving a master level cause they don’t save mid level progress.

I'm playing on the easy difficulty, but the issue is that I constantly run out of ammo (It takes 1 gun's worth of ammo to kill most of the enemies), and also, the game feels super handholdey (I'm constantly around 50 health cause the game is nice when you suck.

Obviously make sure you're using chainsaw as you can, as others have said, but in addition remember you have other tools now.

Frags are ok, kinda harder to aim than 2016s but not awful. You also.have Blood Punch which does a decent chunk of damage.

And arenas USUALLY have ammo around them, so while you may not always have chainsaw, the pickups should keep your ammo up while you wait for chainsaw to Regen.

Generally the actual time to kill is low in the game so you don't need that many shots in retrospect, and by the time you "run out of ammo" for most of your guns, 1 chainsaw pip will refill, which you can use against fodder, etc. on repeat.

Obviously this is harder on early game with less weapons, but as you get more weapons you can rotate more and will "run out of everything" slower

The beefiest enemy you can fight right now is an Arachnotron which has 3000 health (this does NOT account for glory kill state, just outright killing it).

Sticky Bombs deal 350 splash, 50 direct. Even if youre only hitting the splash damage, it should theoretically only take 9-10 stickies to kill an Arachnotron.

Precision Bolt deals 400 per shot (6 ammo used) as well, and both sticky bombs and PB can crit for double damage.

Most arenas have maybe 3 heavies in them in early game, so you should be able to take out at least two heavies before needing to chainsaw. This also isn't mentioning frags, blood punch, etc.

It's definitely "different" from 2016 but that said, if you get into the mindset of making sure to chainsaw AS Soon as chainsaw becomes available (not JUST when you run out of ammo) you'll probably find yourself in a better spot

You can't stay in 1 spot. Keep moving, also, being in the air is your best friend. Make sure that if you don't kill a super or super heavy quick you move away and come back. Don't stay in one spot trying to kill 1 demon.
