sooo, Quakecon is very close :)! I hope to see Quake 2 Remastered there like last year for Quake 1 Remastered. I start to like Nightdive Studios for what they do with older boomer shooter games. Lovely to see old games relived again. 🙂

Not saying current horde mode is bad by any means; it’s fun, and the random weapons make for interesting gameplay. But I don’t think it’s horde mode.

Horde mode or wave mode usually implies endless. But is not always the case.

Although it tends to be uncommon for it to be not endless. It is still a horde mode

Semi randomized, demons have values (all fodder except zombie is 1, lower health heavies 2 etc etc) and it's randomized based on those numbers. All number 2's are interchangable

So instead of a hellknight you get a whiplash, but you never get a tyrant from a zombie

and horde mode takes like 1-2 hours

You're maybe thinking of tyrants + barons.

i usually just use the plasma gun to break the armor then lock on them with the canon and ssg and repeat that a few times and they die, i also use the balista though it's kinda hard to aim

Pb rocket works well too even against sled as long as you hit the sled

Using plasma on their shield is wildy innefficient, plus going for the sled is fun
Also ballista aint hard to aim
