Fairly common bug. "Unknown error occurred. Please try again later". Windows, Steam. Been happening since May. Has there been a fix found yet? P.S. I have flushed DNS, opened ports, verified game files, made an exception in my firewall and antivirus, etc. Any help is appreciated.

I just finished getting mastering all the weapons and I didn’t get the achievement. It says I didn’t get the super shotgun mastered but In the game I mastered it. I know when getting it I had the IDFKA cheat code on and that probably the problem. Any way to fix it?

i fixed the problem of having the game crash when i tried to change the aspect ratio because for some reason it will change in the tutorial but not the main menu or it will crash harder than an alcoholic at a concert.

Hello all
This is kinda my last ditch since playstation/bethesda haven't been helpful. Last night my PS4 power chord came loose causing the console to turn off in the middle of an UN run. Turn my console back on and its stuck in a safe mode loop. No big deal I've run into this before and had to reinitialize the console losing some progress in games but what ever. Inserted my Doom Eternal disc last night so 6.66 could re download to my console. Signed back into my bethesda account and everything is gone still?! Every single cosmetic and achievement is nowhere to be seen?! Even my rank was dropped all the way back to 1...Has anyone on the playstation had this issue?

They suggested I get a PC or PlayStation to keep playing it online so I'm probably leaving group since there's no more snapmap online for Xbox anymore. I have a problem that just came out of nowhere. I was playing Doom 2016 and I'm capable to run it at 60 fps but that's because of the capped fps, I run other games at over 100 fps. Just recently I was playing the game normally with 60 fps but now the game has capped itself at 32 fps, menus can still go to 60. I haven't done anything to the settings before it happened. I have no idea why. I've updated my GPU drivers, changed video settings, verified integrity of game files, and uninstalled and reinstalled the game and it is still stuck at 32 fps. I am just very confused about how this even happened, please if someone has possible fixes about this let me know.

Hey there, I just purchased the game, but i instantly ran into tech issues.

First noticed the vulkan crashes, quickly resolved that by going to nvidia driver 472.12. This helped as in the game boots up (I do still get the pop up that you should revert to version 472.12). It fully boots, but once in the main menu I have about 10 seconds before the game completely freezes. It doesn't crash, the music keeps playing, windows reports it as responsive, but display is completely frozen.

Has anyone found any solution to this?

update: i think i fixed this. This might have had to do with either the ray tracing preset that is asked on startup, or nvidia DLSS. I reset the video settings by deleting the folder, and was able to start the game and play

Is anyone having event-xp issues on Switch? I did a few challenges last night but didn't get any xp from them, even after I tried to reconcile my entitlements. The only xp I'm getting is from the missions I completed.

I got it to work fine the first time booting up after installing. Game froze before I could start the game, though. Now, it either freezes when the main menu song starts up, or when I click on anything, like the DOOM Eternal menu (press mouse1 to start) or when clicking off of smth like an unlock menu

howdy. my doom eternal is not running anymore on my PC for some reason.Few days ago everything worked fine. I've just purchased AG part2 and tried to run the game. I've got a pop-up message reg 472.12 Nvidia drivers, so I've installed them as requested but still game is not running. I don't understand what could've gone wrong. I have GTX 1060 6gb and 32gb ram (Win10x64 21H1). never had any issues before with DE since the day I got that (approx a year ago). are there any logs that can be checked? or do I need to downgrade my Nvidia drivers to 472.11?

Awesome way to spend 20$.

Already have an hour of playtime, just from the 1-2 minute attempts at getting this damn game working. I'll be lucky if I can even get to the main menu with the Slayer pedestal. Most of the time, when the music starts, it'll just be on a black screen and then the game will just close to desktop. Getting to the actual menu, when the Slayer spawns in with the red glow, the game will just freeze and I then have to close it with task manager. The longest I've gotten DOOM Eternal to run was about 4 minutes. There I was able to change one weapon skin, and then once the Slayer loaded in again it froze. I've tried 472.12. I've tried 496.76. 496.98. None of them work. Most solutions just don't work at all.

Fuckin' wonderful way to spend my steam money.

Just bought eternal, never played, been meaning to play it for a while, and when I try to boot it up I get an error message from the idtech launcher telling me to change my nvidia driver to 472.12, and the game crashes. I've changed my drivers to the reccomended ones to no avail. I've tried running the game as administrator and running it directly via the exe file, also to no avail.
I bought the game on steam, I have an nvidia gtx 1650, and all the other specs required to run the game.

Okay, so, Im trying to launch the game from bethesda, it says running for a few seconds, then completely fails to launch and displays "play" again. Ive updated windows, I updated my drivers, ive tried a clean install several times, Ive restarted my PC, restarted bethesda, nothing seems to be working. I simply cannot launch the game anymore. It shows up in the task manager for a split second before completely disappearing. Im completely out of ideas.

So I have a problem. When I try to open Doom Eternal on PC (Steam), it just says "No Physical Devices" ok, so then I disabled integrated graphics. The game opens, but it'll only run at 5-10 fps. I have an RTX 2060, with an AMD Ryzen 9 4000HS chip. I have 16 GB of ram as well. Can someone help me get the game running at a playable framerate? I've tried everything I could think of.

If you're worried about not making it in time for the end of the event just turn the cheats on and replay a bunch of levels

hey i have a problem with my runs on ultra nightmare on arc complex. The map seems to be buggy as hell and it kills me and my run. I keep phasing out of the boundaries and i can't get back up. For example the elevator that comes up and the room has fodder, electricity and a cacodemon. The elevator closed after less than two seconds and then i pressed the button only to phase out of the entire map with no way back. another problem was the lift that took me to the second turret right after that. i was a bit off center due to some mid air collision with the stair. when i was at the top i phased through it and fell onto some of the leveled surfaces that are passed when going up/down. i got to where i got on only to have no button and no way back up. i died from the very bottom where it took me to 5 health and next time killed me. i hope arc complex can be fixed. it kills my UN runs (repost from #tech-talk to make possibly more relevent here)

So i've been battling the audio bug where it gets super choppy and devolves into pure earrape for a week now. Tried changing the sample rate to every option available, tried 3 different Nvidia drivers, tried speakers instead of my headset, tried disabling the microphones, Upgrading DirectX and I think at this point i've tried every fix online I could find but the audio refuses to work properly. I really want to finish my TAG2 UN run so any help would be appreciated

Ay did I skip the story in Doom 1993? Or is there not any kind of story? Cause I loaded up the Doom Ultimate thing, started the top mission, and just got thrown right into the game. Same with the Doom 64 game, is there no in game story? Or did I accidentally skip it?

Hello! Back when the game launched, I preordered a physical copy, so along the game I also got the DOOT revenant skin, the Classic Shotgun skin and the Cultist Base ML. If I buy the game on Steam, will I have access to those preorder bonuses? Has anyone else done this before? Hi, I just installed doom eternal, and when I try to launch the game a GPU vendor warning pops up saying that driver versions of 472.12 or newer may cause crashes and errors to the game. I'm on driver version 496.76. i tried installing many different drivers and reverting back to 472.12 but that didn't work. The game just crashes immediately after pressing "space to continue" . I'm on a GTX 1660 super. Is there any fix for this problem?

Finally getting around to Doom Eternal. I have an AMD R9 280X graphics card, and Doom is telling me that I need to upgrade my drivers to 21.6.2, as I am on 21.5.2. Problem is that it seems that my graphics card is not supported with the latest drivers. Am I just out of luck and have to upgrade my computer in order to play the game, or is there a work around?

I did try playing it without the upgrade, and got graphical bugs the first attempt. Tried some stuff, and came back to it later and it just crashed. I would like to play it, but I do not want to have to upgrade my computer just to do so

Hello everybody. In general, the problem is this - with the release of update 6.66, the game just started to crash randomly on the main menu, preventing it from playing any mode. I have already tried to install hotfix 496.98 for Nvidia cards, but it did not help, as well as rolling back the drivers to version 472.12. Is there a community solution for these crashes?

why the game warns me since the last patch to use nvidia patch 471.22 (or 471.21?) is id software unable to fix driver problems instead of giving a warning to use old drivers for best performance??? i have the newest drivers, newest bios etc...i have ryzen 5600x, rtx 3060 ti, 32gb ram @3200mhz and using windows 11...i dont understand why doom eternal warns me about the graphics driver when i use the newest ones...

Hey, I have a little problem. I have done to 11 level of actual event some days ago. Today I launched the game as usual and I see, that I got 15 level now. Hello, the matchmaking is alway awfull. And you have downgrading the campagne level XP (the only solution to get XP reward when we can't have a correct matchmaking). This is not funny to plays with statics players or with flying slayer.

I installed a 6900XT yesterday and now I can't load into a mission for more than a minute or two before my pc crashes. The menu seems fine and my fps stays high in game. It blackens my monitors and I have to force a power down to get control of the PC back.

PSU is 1200w, brand new. Don't think its power related. Other games work fine, I can run Time Spy benches without trouble.

well, hopefully it is, anyone else experiencing your "extra life" support rune, NOT giving you back your 1-up? I've had this happen twice within a half hour in TaG2, World spear. A shield soldier didnt drop the life when there was more than half the timer bar left, and the armored baron in the arena after the dragon drop off.

Is anybody able to help me out with my graphics settings? Hello all, i posted a bit ago about confirming if some of you have both the Trooper skin and Camo skin. I’m currently in contact with support to fix the confusing issue where the Trooper skin was replaced by Camo in series 2; they are essentially telling me that they are the same skin even pictures of each of them from online showing they look different and have different names. If at all possible, could one of you that has both skins record a short clip of you having the Camo skin and the separate Trooper skin, making sure to show the names in the menu and clear enough to see the skins themselves look a bit different so I can provide the video to them?

For those unaware, with the original series 2 event the slayer skin was called “trooper” was a more brown digital camouflage. Then when they re-released it it was weirdly changed to “Camo” and had more of a traditional EDRL camouflage with more green. I am just wanting to know if it disappeared for everyone and changed or someone has evidence of both of them in a video as there seems to be a disconnect with Bethesda support and their cosmetics.

I know it’s not a popular skin which is why it was probably overlooked but I really was hoping to get the original trooper skin if possible as I really liked the look and have the series 2 event and could use someone’s help as all I can provide are videos/screenshots but not a video showing them on the same account. Truly would appreciate anyone taking the time doing so.

I have a AlienWare x17 RTX 3070 laptop and I can't get Doom Eternal to run over 60 fps, most of the time running around 30. Its capping around 60 fps but before I played with around 200 fps no problem. whats wrong with my stuff?

How do people record doom eternal so well, quality is good but frame rate in heavier cutscenes or fights is 2 fps

My gpu power is all given to doom eternal and almost nothing to obs. I’ve tried running as administrator and changing some settings, it is indeed way better but most of the time it still lags

Hello, l've encountered a weird bug where after pressing the spacebar at any loading screen the game would freeze for a considerable amount of time and then fps would drop to around 40 instead of 90 as it used to be during my first playthrough. Updating my drivers fixed the issue for a while, but the freezes and framerate drops came back after some time. Could anybody please give any advice on fixing that?

Since the new update, DE has been straight up impossible to play. Before the update, I would be able to play DE on all low settings and get a stable 60 fps while playing with mods. Now, even without mods, my game runs abysmally. I'm only able to get 15 - 25 fps, and thats when Im not even in combat. I've backed up my game files and restarted my pc multiple times, but nothing changes. Has anyone else had problems with the new 6.66 Rev update's performace, or is it just a me problem?

I wish "Doom 2016" on Switch had all the gyro controller options "Doom Eternal" has on Switch, sigh. Like choosing between "roll or yaw axis" and inverting left and right movement. This seems like such a oversight for such a fun version of the game when Eternal has all of this. Any know work around for this?

Help me please, this is my last resort aside from getting a refund. So, I have Doom Eternal Disc Version for PS4 . I decided to buy the Year One Season pass that has Ancient Gods Part 1 and 2. It says it is installed on my system, so I load up my game and it is not there at all. All that is there is the shopping Cart icons and when I click them it redirects me to the store page and says the product is not available. HOWEVER, when I download the Free BATTLE MODE thing, THEN I can access the DLC. The disc recognized that I have the DLC since it told me I got the exclusive skins that came with them, but I still cannot select the DLC from the main Menu on the disc. (I can provide pics if necessary)

Update: I think I figured out the Problem. So I have the European Disc Release of the game. That's probably why it is not letting me use the DLC since my PSN account is American.

Hello everyone, I joined this server because I want to know how to fix a problem. I play the Steam version of Doom. I have The Ultimate Doom and Doom 2: Hell on the Earth. I was playing fine initially until I ran into a problem. I suddenly got a simple gray picture with a seal of hell and skulls in the main menu. Usually footage of the game is played there. Discord streaming just kinda sucks for performance. You can record and even stream to YouTube at like 3x the res/framerate and it’ll use the resources the same….

hey all, i have noticed this weird visual thing and was wondering if anyone knows or if its just normal, so for example in the main menu when looking at doomguy his animation (breathing/being cool on a podium) sometimes goes blurry in the area of his texture that moves... and then quickly sharpens up again. any idea ?

it can be any of these reasons (according to my opinion)

  1. Your PC drivers may be outdated
  2. Install and uninstall doom (only as a last resort)
  3. It may be due to some bug in the game
  4. if there is an error code when the game closes, look for the error on youtube or send me the error code and I'll find it for you

Not sure if this is the right place but wanted to report a very strange bug i just experienced. Made it to final AG1 fight, and everything was normal for first 3 rds. Rounds 4 and 5 both occurred in rd 3 area(4 raised alternating electric platforms) purple electrified floor. The dual cacco's were also present for both rds so was a weird merging of rds together

Hey, hoping someone here can point me in the right direction:
Im having massive performance issues when playing the Ancient Gods 1 campaign with Audio cutouts and desync, frame drops and massive menu lag making them basically unuseable.
Main campaign ran buttery smooth on the same settings and verifying game files, updating drivers and disabling the steam overlay have not helped.
I also havent been able to find other people reporting the same issues, at lest with menu lag, so im hoping someone here has an idea
