Make sure to also check your GPU Settings. AMD/NVIDIA likes to overwrite some stuff with their drivers
so double check in your "GPU Software"

• Delete everything in your Steam Savegame Folder here: Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\ <YOUR_ACCOUNT_ID>\782330
• Open your explorer and navigate to "%userprofile%\Saved Games\id Software\DOOMEternal" - delete everything in there

That should completely reset your game settings and savegames, make sure you arent starting the game without any extra launch options

They only contain your settings and savegames (Which are corrupted). You can backup them, but you wouldnt really need them anyway.

• I tried starting a new save file of TAGP2 and when i went back to the main menu after beating the first level my save file got corrupted

Whenever i inspect achievments from a specific save slot, for some reason, the milestones in the extras section gets reset

So if i inspect save 1 with 30 achievments and then save 2 with 5, the achievements will show 5

Its extremely annoying cuz ive already unlocked the achievment and even for tag i get ??? When the achievment is to beat a level in nightmare (i did after replaying the level)

Hello all, having some issues with Doom Eternal on steam.
A while ago I messed with some files (not sure which ones) to try and solve an issue (that I now know would have been a simple fix had I known that Doom was using a different display port), which has led to my DE now immediately stopping upon startup. I have reinstalled at least once, and verified to game files at least a half dozen times to no avail. I'm just wondering if anyone has some step-by-step "full reset" instructions to cover all the bases (losing progress is no matter, I was only able to get about 5 hours in). Any help is greatly appreciated!

Ok so I might of actually found the fix
for GPU Driver Error No Physical Devices in PC version.

Make sure Windows Graphics settings has Doom Eternal set to max performance with your GPU
Nvidia Control Panel has Doom eternal with High Performance set, high performance texture quality, and designated OpenGL card to your GPU
Make sure you have both the latest Game Ready driver from Nvidia and latest AMD Adrenalin if your PC is AMD like mine, if it's Intel make sure you have the latest drivers from the official manufacturer's site.
Somehow randomly the game ran properly for me, also weird enough launched at 640x800 at first, but then just changing the resolution in-game fixes it.

All 80? People say you just gotta keep doing every milestone you're missing until it pops up. Apparently it's slightly glitched due to it only counting the first released milestones from 1.0

make sure you did the milestones while connected to internet as well, else it doesn't log properly in the cloud

if you didn't do them again but in wifi, you won't get another milestone but maybe it'll trigger the feed to unlock the milestone online

Hey everyone 🙂 I just wanted to know if anyone has encountered an issue where the game (Doom Eternal) crashes when you try to change settings. Haven't play to Doom for a while, (it was working fine the last time) but now everytime I try to change something in the settings it just crashes over and over with a BSOD. I tried to change the monitor the first time it crashed, then I tried something else, like HDR and the same thing happened. So I reinstalled the game, and same thing keeps happening. Hi all, just a quick question. I returned to Doom Eternal after playing it at launch and went to check out the master levels since I heard there had been a few new ones, although I only see 2. The one that was there at launch and one that seems to be part of an event. I was unlocking Inferno Lord Marauder and while the skin shows up, the stances, intros and victories aren't. I've already been able to use the unlocked cosmetics but now they've disappeared. (DOOM 2016) So, I have this gamebreaking bug. At the start of the game, after you first put on your suit and walk into the dark hallway with all the pipes along the walls, the game just freezes up, gives me a driver crash alert and I have to computer restart. Literally no idea why, my only thought is that it's the fact that I have AMD hardware. I had other issues with Wolfenstein games that just summed up to be the fact that I used AMD so it could correlate, especially considering it's the same company. Any help would be appreciated.

So I used a skin unlocker mod that gives me all the currently free skins in the game. This was before series 1 became available to purchase, so it was legal at the time. When I got it installed, I of course, had every skin. but there was one issue I didn't know. It also gave me every slayers club skin... I wanted to earn them fair and square by earning points, but when I disabled the mod, all the skins disappeared. (which I wanted.) I later couldn't get the zombie mancubus naturally unlocked. I'm now scared that I might have altered my bethesda account in a way that might be saying "I have hit the max level in the slayers club and I have all the skins" which I didn't. What do I do?

using an hdmi cable currently allows doom eternal to run fine, whereas if i want to use my second monitor as well i have to use a dvi cable for the main monitor but that then forces the game and my desktop to be run at 600x400. this resolution issue only occurs when i load the game. if i use the cable and both monitors with anything else it runs fine, but if i try using the dvi cable to run doom eternal it has the forced resolution and no matter how many times i change it while using it, nothing happens and it stays the same low resolution. i dont know what else to try as even using the cable with one monitor still causes the error, whereas using the hdmi cable it runs fine.

So to solve the "No physical devices found+ Cannot allocate visual memory" start bugs, simply disable your primary graphics driver then restart the pc/laptop. The enabled one will become the primary one and so, doom will see it as the one to run on. If anyone could pin this for the others to see i'd be delighted. Or ar least repost this in a better worded manner

Someone on Steam seemed to have discovered a workaround to fix the no physical devices error without having to disable primary GPU.

I haven’t tried it out yet, but considering it has been tested on a same laptop as mine, which is an ASUS TUF Gaming, I may give it a shot. You’ll need to install the AMD Radeon Adrenalin/Auto-Detect software, and then run Eternal after restart.

i cant play DE since the update. freezes after like 15min but music just keeps playing. there didnt seam to be a specific reason why it freezed. it always happened mid fight but i dont think thats the trigger cause theres almost no time u dont fight in the new master level. i didnt try to play any other level than the taras nabad master level though.

Hey everyone, I'm trying to play the master level but I'm softlocked at the very first door. The game is layering two doors on top of each other and only opening one of them. I know this issue has existed with previous master levels (I literally can't play SGN ML due to this), and I was really hoping it was fixed for this one. Is there ANY fix for this whatsoever?

after update 6, my pc barely runs doom eternal in 60 fps, no matter the level. until update 6, i was able to play the game up to 100 fps. not to mention that the game is also very blurry now, and if i turn off dynamic resolution its a mess. my pc is not overheating, i have no apps in the backround, every driver is clean installed. it sucks not being able to play my favourite game as i used to. my settings are: textures medium, shadows high and everything else on ultra. i used to have no issues with these settings. turning everything on low doesnt help. vsync is off in both the game and amd control panel. im going desperate... my gpu is an rx 580 4gb. every other game runs as intended. reinstalling/verifying doesnt help. i also reinstalled all vcredist, still the same.

Has anyone played on Stadia since the update? There's something very weird going on with the lighting. It varies according to the level you're playing on, but very obvious in the Fortress and Taras Nabad.

I'm trying to get it reported so id can get a fix on it but not sure where to go. Submitted a ticket to Bethesda support and their first response was to contact Stadia, when I pressed them they told me to submit a feedback ticket, which I did, but it said that I wouldn't get a direct response...

How do I make the devs aware of the audio bug that happens in the intro of the game. I've noticed that at some point, all playthroughs and streams of doom eternal encountered the same audio pacing issue right as he clicks his shotgun before the title drop, which was not present in videos around launch. For some reason the segment has been sped up, and the title drop music no longer aligns correctly with the music preceding it. It even happens in my game, and if you boot up a new save and listen very carefully to the last moments before the drop, you'll probably notice the notes being skipped as well. I have no idea what update caused this, or if the devs are aware

Since the latest update I have noticed an issue with quickswitching on PS4, it mostly seems to affect the SSG, it basically ends up missing shots randomly when built into a quickswitching combo like Ballista/SSG. Hi everyone, this seemed the best place to post this: Laptops with RTX 3060's seem not to be able to enjoy the new RT update however weirdly the DLSS feature is available while Ray Tracing stays greyed out. I'm playing Doom Eternal on a PS5 and the consoles 'User difficulty settings' have ceased using 'console easiest settings' in the Slayer Gate 5 in particular. Instead the difficulty reverts to the Games 'Ultra-Violence' or 'Nightmare' setting.

Hello guys, I was just changing my video settings to get better performance and let it be noted I haven't had problems before, but today the game felt sluggish, and I decided to mess around with the settings... I disabled the Triple buffering and as soon as I did, my computer crashed and now I can't even play the game.
Everytime I boot it, it gives me an error that says the "Vulkan layers are not supported" and it mentions something specific about "Twitch studio".
I chose to disable those things in order to play, but every time, my computer crashes...

I have already verified the game's files and also even Uninstalled the game and Reinstalled it, but I keep getting the same error message and as soon as the "Id software" logo disappears, the game crashes and then the computer follows...

I hope someone could guide me in a possible solution

all rtx 3060 laptops are incapable of raytracing in doom, im pretty sure its a bug because in geforce experience the optimized settings call for dlss on quality and raytracing on

For those of you having fps drops with rtx and dlss on a 3070. Try putting texture pool size on ultra, hit apply, then turn it back to ultra nightmare. I'm now getting 160+ fps after I did this

Hi all, I have an in-game issue, last week, we have a limited return of Series 2, and I got the Master Collection of Archvile's skin Hipster. However, I didn't unlock the full set within the event week. After the limited ended, whenever I unlock any item (animation, skin, podium) of the Hipster set, I can use the item normally, but every time I out of the game and come back, all the items are lost, and I have to achieve just a small amount of XP to get it again. This is quite annoying as I would like to customize some characters with Hipster's master podium, but it all lost when I out of the game, and when I return, I have to get some XP points to achieve it again and re-customize the character. So, does anyone meet this same bug? How do I fix it?

Just didn't trigger the fast travel near the end, so I couldn't go back to pickup secrets, now I really don't feel like going through the whole level again so is there a way to fix this with a console command or something?

Found a fix for the Master level door-layering bug

It's only a certain save file it happens on. The Master levels are fine on other saves

I’m having a similar problem where whenever I finish a level, any event stuff I’ve unlocked will appear again, meaning that it says I’ve unlocked it when I already unlocked it ages ago. I have to go into customisation and scroll to whatever event shit it was a equip it to get rid of the exclamation mark that appears when you unlock a new cosmetic

Basically, I keep unlocking the same cosmetics over and over again whenever I finish or exit a level

the funniest thing is that all the items that face this problem are unlocked outside their event weeks, usually the throwback limited week of past event series 1 and 2, at 1 week is not enough to unlock all the series set as well as all items from its master collection

been getting poor performance out of nowhere, usually when that used to happen i could close and re open the game and it would be fixed but now it's always there, levels where i got 100fps now are getting 40 , already tried uninstalling and re installing the game, drivers are up to date, with mods and without, graphical settings don't make a difference although sometimes if i change anything it instantly lowered the fps (even if i was putting the setting down), steam overlay and Amd gpu overlay are both disabled and i also tried messing with the amd software to see if i accidentally turned, say, chill on but everything is the way i left it

my build is RX 580 4gb version for GPU, R5 3600 for CPU i also have 16 gigs of ram, the game is on a pretty decent SSD and i'm playing on 1080p, not sure how relevant it is considering my performance was normal before but it's worth mentioning

oh and this lower performance only started happening around 3 days after the update, so dunno if it would be to blame

kinda stumped on this one, any recommendation is appreciated

Hey, I didn't see to ask here. Doom Eternal, I get solid 60 fps no fluctuations with DLSS on, I tab out of the game to talk in discord or something and when I go back in it's 8 fps and wont change... Is this a known issue?

Like it's just baffling, it was running like 40 ish fps without dlss max graphics and 4k, I turn on DLSS and BAM solid 60 fps. Then suddenly it drops down to 8fps. It's like a memory leak or something but I don't know....

I've been playing on my Xbox Series X, and ever since the next-gen update, Doom Eternal cannot be Quick Resumed. It'll be in standby if it was the very last game I played, but if I play anything else the game won't be suspended and it has to re-launch when I select it.

In the PS4 store, the dlcs no longer appear, only the standalone version, not the add-on version; I try to buy them directly from the game and nothing happens, it just keeps loading. In the store page only the versions for ps5 appear saying "Not available" and the versions for ps4 do not even appear.

After the new update i played nekravol part 2 and with the last fight the fps dropped to less than 10 and the commands weren't responding in time (sometimes a various second delay). Well hmm I have a problem, you see I went to replay the level of super gore nest I was trying to complete the challenges I was missing the one about slaying pinkies but for some reason the mission of obtain a weapon mod was there even though I had completed it previously I finish the level thinking it was just a error display or sort of but it the game told me that the challenge wasn’t completed which doesn’t make sense.

hello, i have actually a bug in doom eternal. I have done 100% of the 5th mission, but the task that said to take a "module" (in english probably modbot) dont want to be mark as completed. The problem is that i cant take anymore because i already took the 2 modbot on the map :/ so i cant take the reward of completing the 3 task on this mission. Here is a screenshot :

as you can see on the right, the first task that consists to obtain a module for a weapon from a modbot is not mark as complete... that s boring
