My steam account is currently linked to an old bethesda account and support is unresponsive. I'm thinking of getting Eternal now so that I can still have time to earn the ember slayer skin. If I have the chance to unlink my steam account in the future will I lose said skin if I relink it to another account?

The dots are intentional, as for the game looking blurry, try increasing the sharpening option in the video settings (I use it at max, but do whatever feels right to you). You also should change the Resolution Scaling Mode to Static, and make sure the Resolution Scale slider right below that is set to 100.

He talks about nazis and stuff and just insults us. and leaves before the game starts. about 4/10 times that i try to join a match hes there.
It's gotten so bad that i just stop playing entirely and come back later but hes still there. I tried at midnight and he was still there.

Has anyone else been having this issue where your icon and title etc get reset to the default every time you go into the game? Because I've got the whole Ember set for my Slayer and every time I equip it, after a while it keeps locking the intro, victory, icon and title, but ends up giving it back after a mission or so, possibly some kind of bug?

Since TAG2 release the game stutters a lot. A almost always guaranteed stutter is punching walls. There are stutters before a fight / approaching an area where you'll fight. Occasional stutters while shooting / moving around enemies. Occasional flaming more than 2 or 3 enemies gives you stutters. The beginning up first big area of super gore nest is a stutter fest. Also if you move around AND aim too fast the game seems to stutter sometimes.

the 1st doom will be unlocked after you collect all the cheatcodes in the game

second doom can be unlocked by inputting the code FLYNNTAGGART

edit:also! if you play on pc you can copy and extract the WAD files and use those for a sourceport like gzdoom if you want a better more custom experience

What I can tell you, is that it's an unmodded UN run, jumped from the entrance to the cutscene to the little floating rock attached to it, and all environment vanished.

Alt+F4 didn't fix it. But jumping from one of the ledges to death reset did.

I'm getting a weird issue with bluetooth headphones on doom eternal. The program attempts to access the microphone on my headphones, which kills the sound quality. I've tried disabling voice chat, and I've tried setting windows to prefer to use a different microphone, but neither work. You suppose to get it by getting 2 sentinel batteries and for some reason I got ALL the batteries in the game and I don't have 2 batteries to get the skin. So yes it would download the main game, however it would be locked until you buy it

I found a BUG: On the Ancient Gods Part 1 DLC level, "The Holt", the last gore nest becomes inaccessible after one launches up to the second floor, kills the possessed Tyrant, then returns back down to do the gore nest. The button on the roof one must shoot to open the laser wall won't respond to getting shot, so one can't attempt the gore nest challenge.

There is a bug in Eternal where if you open up the map, sometimes the map ambience will play on top of all other sounds. The only way to get rid of it is to close out the game and get back on. Will id patch this out sometime? It really gets on my nerves.

you mean no music? i got musicless game a few times. First time during Samur fight. I battled for quite a while, before i realized "wait... isn't music supposed to be playing?". Or more like i realized i don't feel all pumped, just creeped out and panicking hahah. Then i remember Immora.. where i only heard my own actions and my brethren dying in distance. Very eerie. Had to replay the whole mission, just restarting didn't help. I agree, very annoying bug, but an interesting atmosphere.
On a sidenote, hey guys from id, if you ever need a really good betta tester, i am your gal, i swear i am incredibly powerful bug magnets. My friends are in awe, seeing all the bugs i encounter, where they had smooth sailing 👍

@primal compass I didn't experience that one. Sounds weird tho. For me, it was where you could hear the arena or level music and all the sound effects, but they were quieter than normal, and the music or whatever it is that plays while you are looking in the dossier plays pretty loudly over everything else. I googled it and not many other people have the issue. I play on series x, and some were having the issue on PC, so I don't think platform matters. It happens kinda often too. But, it's random when it occurs.

There was another one where I booted up super gore nest and after a little bit of walking got shot down to under the map.

Hopefully when Hugo starts streaming the Master levels it encourages him to add a save system. Not actual save slots but perhaps a more hidden approach, where booting up a ML returns you to latest checkpoint and you have to click "Reset Mission" to start again. Bcoz right now it's so annoying spending hours on SGN , getting burnt out and wanting a break but I have to baby my Xbox so nothing pushes it out of ram and I lose my progress. All I can open is the Netflix app but basically I can't switch to any other game for a palate cleanser as it pushes Doom out of ram.

I've completed every milestone of Campaign, TAG 1, TAG 2 & Battlemode too and still the last milestone is locked in Agnostic 'Unlock every milestone'.
As you can see in this video
When I select Campaign and go back to the Main menu then Milestones it shows every milestone of the Campaign is already completed then I click on TAG 1 & TAG 2 there are a lot of milestones pending.
Same happens when I select TAG 1 & TAG 2 it shows all TAG 1/TAG 2 milestones completed and others not completed.

I just saw this. That's not a good answer at all. Like seriously. Lol. Can you imagine if the base campaign worked that way on your first playthrough? If you exited halfway thru a level and came back to it the next day and you had to restart from the beginning of that level, because "git gud" . What I'm suggesting is a quality of life improvement. And I specifically said I don't want save slots but a more hidden, seamless approach. I was totally reasonable. Take Hugo for example, his playthrough is in 2 parts and the first half is 3 hours. Even the director needs a break.

ye so you wanna go to the bios when the PC starts (usually by pressing f2 8 million times. it might be another key)

you can then noodle through the menu until you find one labelled "boot"
in there, you should be able to choose which device the motherboard tries to find an operating system on (you wanna choose the ssd)

I found a fix a month ago by going back to an old windows update but I can no longer do that as my windows has been updated more than 10 days ago... All my drivers are updated as well... I'm having this strange bug where the last 3 items of the Ember set only stay temporarily, the items lock themselves and then unlock themselves again after I complete a level, finish a battlemode match, use booster XP and quit the game. I can't keep these cosmetics equipped because they'll just lock themselves and then unlock themselves again.

Hi there. I've posted this bug here before, but then decided to complete the game again in the hope that the problem would be resolved.
(And missed the "Running Up the High Score" achievement, cuz lost 5 extra lives on the Icon of Sin, damn)

So, the bug is connected to the "It's Magic Number" achievement, which is already achieved on in-game statistics, supposed to be got on Steam (Because I definitely killed 666 demons in 2 walkthroughs of the game), but it's not there.

@velvet sentinel how serious is it for you, because I get the same problem. But at least in my case it's not serious, it's only usually on crossing doors or going through portals, it's ministutters

also, discord black screen is fixed by going full windowed instead, that fixed it on my old PC

not BDless, straight up reduce your res by x0.1 in windowed. (1920x1080 - to 1600x900 and viceversa)

try that, if that doesn't work i'm out of ideas.

@keen sphinx if you want to help and have some free time i'd recommend straight up reporting it to Discord ToS teams, they have a email for contact. You contact them with proof and they legitimately can permaban them.

It's serious enough to make me not want to stream it, as if I play fullscreen it's silky smooth at 120fps.

I might see if streaming on Twitch via Obs is better, any ideas if that may be true?

OBS is generally slower, but try it. Try anything tbh, that's my error fixing motto

oh, and try disabling Discord's Hardware Acceleration and Overlay

in case those could be causing incompatibilities, just to discard typical issues

and, of course, sorry to go full generic support but always try reinstalling Discord or DE, never too shabby to try those

Need help with weird streaming errors when I play this game on streamlabs OBS

Almost every time I do anything that involves both quick swapping (PB -> RL -> Repeat) and the ice bomb freezing even just one heavy demon, there are almost always bad frame rate issues on my stream’s side yet the game on my monitor is perfectly normal.

Any ways to fix this?

To be more specific on what’s happening, my stream is basically running at 3 FPS when I’m attacking a demon(s) with quick swapping methods that is frozen from the ice bomb

This happens to me too. Every time on PC. Didn't get to unlock them in Series 1 but got them in the In Case You Missed It event

Hi, I recently completed all the default milestones in order to get the sentinel podium. However, I have a bug were my default milestones are locked at 76/80. Can someone help me with this? I've already tried deleting my campaign save files and completing the campaign at 100% with only one save file.

It has something to do with your firewall. Try turning it on and off, worked out for me at least

Again, milestone bug existed at launch, I believe, and there has yet to be a solution for it other than just try to do it again in a new save file

I'm experiencing a BSOD when the game starts, I believe it's as soon as the game tries to load in to the title screen.
Stop code is "SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION" with nvlddmkm.sys being what failed.
I have:
Verified integrity of game files, multiple times throughout the full process
Reinstalled the game
Updated Windows
Reinstalled DirectX
Reinstalled the 2015 Microsoft VC redist thing
Used Display Driver Uninstaller to do a clean reinstall of my graphics drivers
Reinstalled the game again
Reinstalled DirectX again
Reinstalled vc_redist again
Updated Windows again
Used GeForce Experience to do a clean reinstall of my graphics drivers
Reinstalled DirectX again
And reinstalled vc_redist again.

All this has gotten me nowhere.
I'm out of ideas, and don't even know if any of what I've done has made a difference.
Could really use some help.

Because back in 2019 when i played any game that stressed my gpu my whole system would crash and it slowly evolved into crashing at any game and then just being turned on, turned out the HDD was faulty and had to replace it

I remember trying every single troubleshooting thing multiple times but it was no use, just putting the possibility out because it may be something similar

If you are on pc you can try alt f4, it usually resets to the most recent checkpoint

On arc complex i fell trought the elevator quite a few times and alt f4 saved those runs

As long as you aren't in the death animation it shouldn't cause anything

no problemo, if that arena is too tough i would say it's fair game to cheat by using saving throw and alt f4ing, since in this run you already beat the arena and the game just didn't recognize it

It's only Eternal.

And I've reinstalled on both my HDD and boot SSD (which I very recently replaced) without any luck getting it working, so probably not a storage drive problem.
