Then I don't think you went the right way. You have to be on the opposite side of that breakable wall. You do that by walking over the drop drown spike ceiling where you went to get the album but instead of going to your left, go to your right over that ceiling piece

It essentially puts you in a short hallway with some more tentacle holes, the breakable portion of that wall, and a button

Hey guys, so I have been experiencing heavy bad texture pop in and sound delay. This started before I even modded my Doom Eternal. Mods actually fixed it for awhile where I was problem free. I have gone all the way from formatting my PC, tweaking nvidia settings, disabling overlays, closing all and any app that isnt Doom, stop using afterburner, had my graphics settings run from nightmare all the way down to low and actually have pretty good frames on all of them, changed sound settings, changed my sound device, changed my peripherals, reinstalled doom multiple times on SSD and HDD, offline and online mode, changed page file... I can honestly go on with everything I have tried and I just can't stop that texture pop in and sound delay šŸ˜¦

GTX1060 6GB
8GB 3200Mhz x2

I honestly do not know who else to ask XD and just desperately want this fixed.

the funny thing is...when im playing on my laptop...game bar works just fine. Performance is great. As soon as i switch to my second monitor, game bar stops working for both my laptop and second monitor. Then all of a sudden my laptop goes from playing the game at like 90FPS to down to 50fps

Hi all! I have gained an interest in the Master Levels for Doom II following the release of Peter Lawrence's MIDI pack. Is there a way to compile all the Master levels into a single WAD file for a linear campaign that also can play the MIDI pack? I'm trying to map a RockBand controller for the hell of it, and I can't seem to find how to rebind next/previous weapon to use in place of the number keys. It says it's vol+/vol-, but they just open the pause menu for me.

@tawny crane There is no point in fiddling around with it anymore. I just stopped using it. I made it so that pressing my Xbox button doesn't open it incase I press it by accident and it takes me out of the game and onto desktop.

Yo so I've been having this weird thing happen on Eternal where when I go to look at challenges while on the campaign and the ambient track for the menu will start playing, but when I exit it won't stop. And the only thing that fixes it is exiting the game, but I guess it might be obvious how constantly having to exit the game would be an issue.
Does anyone know how to get this to stop happening??
I've tried turning down the music volume to 0 to see if it would help, but apparent it's actually under sound or whatever.

Does anyone know how I can report a game breaking bug?

At this time it is impossible to complete Arc Complex' Demonic Corruption 10/10.
There's one part in the level that stays red, no mather what you do.

I've been experiencing a glitch that causes any moving parts, like gates, to duplicate after I die once on both the cultist base and super gore nest master levels. Whenever a gate is supposed to open, the duplicate stays closed, completely blocking progression and the only way I can find to fix it is to entirely restart the level.

Does anyone know any fixes to this?

hey, so, i don't know if i'm the only one experiencing this or if this is something that has been already fixed a long time ago, but recently when I try to play Doom Eternal, I keep getting huge fps drops on startup and during the first games of the day. Sometimes i am just unable to play the games even after more than one game, and online i found a quick fix that isn't working anymore: analyzing and repairing the game's files. Since i don't really want to try and repair the game's files every time, both because it takes a while and sometimes it doesn't work, i wanted to know if y'all had some advice for me or something.

Man I didn't realize this was here at first. I should've brought up my controller topic here, I'll do it now.

I usually play on Strafe setting but I've now swapped to default because you can apparently use the right stick to cycle the weapon wheel which is a lot better than using the left stick to do that because then you can't move and select guns. So I'm wondering if it's always been that you can't use the right stick to cycle the weapon wheel unless you're on default config or if it's a bug or oversight or what. This might not be the best place to ask but I feel like I'll have better results than asking support about it

Ok so, when ever I play Doom Eternal I will go from 200fps to 30fps. I put on Ultra Nightmare frame rate things and when that happens my CPU and GPU go to red and I have no idea why that happens, even when I set all my graphics to low. I did turn off steam overlay to and even overclocked my CPU and it still happens.

Discord is really temperamental so it's natural that one day it'll be cool and the next it'll be iffy. Try it again a time or two more and see how it goes and if the issues are still there then look into game or PC (assuming PC) fixes

Even when I flip Doom Eternal into offline mode on steam, when I boot up my game, my download speeds and upload speeds on my PC drop by more than half....

I can only speak from a console perspective but I think it's relevant. When I have no processes running on my Xbox my speeds will be at around 100, sometimes even as high as 300 but once something is running - a game, app whatever it'll drop to around 60-80

Large fps drops in doom eternal. I never had this happen until now. I have a steady 140 fps then randomly I go straight down to 20fps and it rarely goes back up to being 140. I have a gtx 1660, ryzen 2600 and 16 gb of ram. I cant find any answers to this and even tried turning off steam overlay. Anyone know how to fix this?

So the story is like this:

I went to Advanced Research Complex to get the 2nd rune called Intimacy is Best (I have completed this game btw, I just wanna get all runes for achievement). When I reach the rune, enter the challenge, die a few times and accidentally click "Exit" (Stupid mistake)
But then I found that the rune trials menu has the Intimacy is Best, so I launched it and get the rune fine.

For some reason, in-game challenge "Double Take" still don't count that I have the rune. After I upgraded the rune, the whole game crashed

and now my save file is corrupted I guess

So I take the base file out from Doom folder (which has all the save files and stuff). Seem it works again but my rune is before it gets upgraded

I hope so as well. It seems to get worse (the random game crashes) the higher my fps goes, so I've had to limit it to 240 šŸ˜¦ not that anything higher than that really makes a postiive difference haha

Hugo said, at least for no target, the reason why it's there in the first place is because if you chainsawed an enemy during their traversal or whatever, you could sometimes end up inside the geo or something, which, according to him, is something that could happen again still. Sounds to me like all they did was remove the restriction on when you can chainsaw

So far I've run into some issues with the game. One is that sometimes the disc seems to still be running in my xbox when I turn it off. I took the disc out then back in and the game app was still running

there was also an issue where the game kept showing me the marauder on the main menu instead of switching back to the slayer

these issue happened with each other so I think it's a bug with the game. Especially since I've not had a game disc keep spinning when the console is off outside of this game

also whenever I reinsert the game disc it shows me what I have installed instead of booting up like every other game I own

can anyone help me fix this damn bug i have in the game, its actually been going for about 6 months now, and i havent been able to find someone with similar problem and with a solution, i've tried everything, game is installed on a Crucial SSD of 500GB, there's a lot of texture pop-in which is very weird because the game is on an SSD, everything should be loaded, the in-game sound lags alot, it stutters and it sounds like its lagging behind, this happens when its hectic and even on the first level on the first arena with imps and soldiers (lmao), i have NO idea what the fix could be, this game runs fine on my PC, always above 100-120fps even on Ultra Nightmare settings.

Please i beg someone who knows here or at id software can help me

Im experiencing weird bugs in Doom: for example everytime i start a mission or go back to the FoD the codex entry for glory kills shows up in the left side of the HUD. Or when I go to the cultist base the codex entry for the cultist zombies shows up everytime. Really weird. And also, I had this couple of times that some stuff from my save files got reseted or deleted like I lost couple of toys or points and Iā€™m really anxious about that itā€™s going to happen again and I donā€™t know when itā€™s going to be happening again itā€™s completely random. So yeah idk I tried everything, reinstalling checking for updates or reinstalling the save files. Btw Iā€™m on ps4

I got a bug on Mars core in Eternal, I was shooting my plasma non stop, I just walked into the portal, still shooting, and when the transition happened, the gun was gone but the plasma fire was still going, the progress screen showed, then it crashed

Hi everyone!
I am hoping to find an solution to an issue I've been having with Doom Eternal for a few months now. I did a search of this discord and saw that one person experienced precisely the same issue I'm having but couldn't see repsonses to it.
I have a Gigabyte laptop which surpasses the specs for DE and have been able to play it before (for 11.4 hours). Then suddenly one day, as if by technological temper tantrum, I launch DE through Steam and it makes it to a black fullscreen and then closes out entirely leaving me on the steam page with the 'play' button still reading that its running, then a few seconds later updates back to 'play'.
I have tried literally (and i mean that literally) everything i can find online and dream up in my mind. Updating system, drives, files, games, disabling security, window mode, low res, uninstall/reinstall, load outside of steam, compatibility modes, run as admin.... If i hadnt yet tried it, i tried it then. Absolutely no change. Uninstalled for two months and tried again. No change.
Searching online and through steam community doesn't return any results specific to this scenario aside from maybe one or two other people experiencing the same issue but with no viable solution.
I'm at a complete loss and am on the verge of simply asking for a refund. Shame really, those 11 hours were nice so far...
