After getting the heavy cannon scope mastery in eternal, the scope has become glitchy and useless. It takes the wrong amount of time to charge, the scope goes on and off randomly, and stuff like that. Is this a known issue? Make sure to update your drivers. BSOD are rarely ever caused on the program side, more often caused by a hardware communication error

I'm having an issue with the Steam version of Doom Eternal where the CPU usage is below 60 percent consistently and it's bottlenecking my framerate. Specs are as follows:

Common fixes aren't working
Framerate ingame jumps anywhere from 70 - 110 with everything on Ultra Nightmare (except texture streaming budget which is at ultra due to VRAM requirements). Before the issue started I was getting 144 consistently

i have just updated the bios and that has actaully done something (and some other laptop specific drivers incl vulkan and opengl)
now instead of causing a bsod it just crashes to the desktop
that's progress. now that's all it does, i boot it from steam and it crashes to the desktop

I use that as an FPS limiter, but it shouldnt lower fps more than what I have it set to (minimum of 114).

Are you running it on Steam, your computer’s software or the Bethesda Launcher?
Also, I don’t suggest attempting to insert saved files. If they’re corrupt they will not work. You will have to restart the game.

my friend has this problem that when he beats a slayer gate it crashes the game and he has to do it again, he’s beaten the same slayer gate 8 times and the same bug keeps happening

Yeah that's been a bug mate. Be careful when that bug occurs though, it's a damaging bug that could corrupt your save files (from in-game) if you have any. If you're on ps and have Ps+, would highly suggest to periodically save the entire game itself before attempting a slayer gate.

The new Doom1 and 2 console ports (ps4) really drop the resolution, things in the distance are fuzzy mess now, yes thats old school, but I prefer how it was before the updates. At least provide a resolution toggle - classic, or HD or something. 16:9 is a nice improvement but it really needs the old high res back...

I also mentioned earlier in #classic-doom that the view tended to jerk to random directions and that it could've been an SDL2-related issue
I think what's really happening is that there's quick lag spikes that still register my mouse input, so that's why the view jerks around

Make sure your Nvidia drivers are updated to cap the FPS with the Nvidia Control Panel. 😅
Now it runs at High @ 60FPS with decent temps for a laptop in balanced mode (63°C and 58°C), holds well in silent mode too.

I really like the classic Doom ports, but the last 16:9 update looks too pixelated, or rather aliased than before. I also cannot use the map on PS4 anymore as it triggers the touch overlay like on the Android Port. So it looks like everything has a thick outline and since i cannot use the touchpad i cannot zoom in or move the map :/

You can see the aliasing and the touch overlay on the map screen. The touch overlay also appears ingame when just touching the...touchpad.
On another note - the resolution doesn't increase on PS4 Pro anymore. It was fine before(albeit stretched due to only having 16:10).
It really looks bad and even worse in motion :/

My Bethesda.net account is acting up
Once a month or so it forgets my password so I have to manually log in, and every time I do I have a picture on my phone saved that contains my password. When I put it in the launcher says the password is incorrect, despite the fact both the username AND the password are 100% correct.
So then I go reset my password and insert a new one, and this time no matter what password I try replace it with, the site warns me it might've been used previously.
I use about 16 different passwords that I know by heart and none of them have I used on Bethesda.net previously, but the site keeps writing them off as previously used

I've got an issue that's been prevalent since the release of the game (I've played on the 19th of March since I got a physical copy), and I've noticed that when jumping into a wall, including when I'm trying to grab a ledge, the framerate drops a ton. I'm having this issue on console. I believe it's the game trying to check if I can climb the wall as a ledge, and it causes a huge framerate drop.

Anyone else getting the dossier music stuck in the background even after you've closed it? I only started noticing this in the Mars Core level but it still persisted with the dossier music for Sentinel Prime. Even when I alt-tab out of the game it still keeps playing in the background. Hey, so there's new 16:9 title/intermission/end screens for the Unity ports and I wanted to extract them all from the files. 1&2 were easy enough since I was able to fin the .WADs really easily but I can't find the ones for No Rest for the Living, The Plutonia Experiment and TNT Evilution. the WADs themselves have simple numbers and no extension, but you can tell which ones they are through the included images alongside them
and you can easily rename them to add the .WAD extension
only problem with the PWADs in the 2019 ports is that they have a form of MAPINFO that source ports don't currently support because it's not widespread enough

if it isnt sorry, but i ran into a problem today when i was playing the cultist base master level. after you go beat the first real arena and the light bridge comes out, the cut scene plays where it shows the gate falling but the gate never opens in game completely cutting off the rest of the level.

So I came here beacuse I was practicing Urdak today and ran into what seems to be a soft lock while just playing the level normally, no skips or anything. I got the first ring aligned and then headed over to the arena with the buff totem, cyper mancs and tyrant. after killing everything the cut scene showed the door open with another identical closed door behind it. the combat encounter was green on the map and everything was dead so i reloaded checkpoint. It started the fight over and did the same thing again. does anyone know about this?

Every time I launch Doom Eternal from the Bethesda Launcher it brings up a User Account Control window asking if I want to allow the launcher to make changes to my computer. Try this:
- Right Click on Doom Eternal -> Properties
- Set Launch Options
- -logFile 2 -> Click okay and start the game
- Go to the Folder "C:\Users\ YOUR USERNAME \Saved Games\id Software\DOOMEternal\base and look if there is a logfile
- If yes, post the logfile here and we have a look together

my old 1060 6gb was able to run things on medium-high and maintain 60fps, but you want more than that for this game since so much is frame dependent. - i got about 140ish max when I really made everything as minimal as possible. A 1050ti will probably have to run on medium to maintain 60fps

Okay, so, Im trying to launch the game from steam, it says running for a few seconds, then completely fails to launch and displays "play" again. Ive updated windows, I updated my drivers, ive tried a clean install several times, Ive restarted my PC, restarted Steam, nothing seems to be working. I simply cannot launch the game anymore. Jeez, this crashing is getting unbearable, I literally cannot play the game for more than 10 seconds before it crashes, when I got the game the only level it crashed on was arc complex. Now it's crashing on Icon of Sin, Urdak, arc complex, super gore nest, hell on earth, Nekroval part 2, and possibly more that I haven't tried. Does anyone have a fix for this, or at least an explanation?

- Click drivers tab
- Change driver preference to studio driver.

I read people having a similar problem with FO76, the work around there was to rename the folder, start the download, force close bethesda in task manager, delete said download, rename your folder to the download folder's name, and launch bethesda then let it "detect"
