It went bad because it was never a proper drop, it was a reward - it's why the code shows up all the way down in your Drops and Rewards tab, under Rewards.

That second code didn't work because you already had the skin. You can't redeem a 2nd code for the same item.

You can see your redeemed items both in-game and in your bethesda account - as long as your game account (xbox, steam, whatever) is linked to bethesda.

You only lose stuff if you unlink your game account from bethesda.

Ah ok, once I launched the game, after seeing that the skin was missing, I watched if the account was linked in the game, it wasn't then I waited and the account has been linked, then I relaunched the game, the skin still wasn't here, so it's after that I decided to reinstalling the game and it finally came back and the notification of the skin popped it was for both the Ony and the Ranger in this order, yet the Ranger was not disappeared before, so I still try to understand!

What I'd personally suggest doing is just making it a GZDoom mod.

You don't need to distribute the assets (as people would have to supply it themselves by buying the original games), but you'd still have a ton of control of what you can do.

Also, seeing a good amount of people use GZDoom as a source port anyways...

Dude im at my wits end. I havent been able to finish TDA for over 3 weeks because the game randomly stopped working on pc gamepass. I got to chapter 20 a few days after release and then i went to play and there was a corrupted update. I uninstalled and reinstalled the game and no dice. I saw a post saying to delete the fsr folder, nothing. Just got a 1.6gb update still no fix. Game launches as normal, I see all the pre title nonsense (havok, warnings, etc.), then the little loading symbol in the bottom right and you can hear the title in the background, see mouse cursor, I can even LAUNCH THE MISSION but theres no game video. Someone please help I want to finish it finally. Hopefully this is the right channel, sorry if not.

heya, i'm new here, and figured yall would have some input :D i'd bought a copy of doom eternal a while back and played the whole game up to the nekravol level, during which my game crashed, which prompted me to give up on trying to beat the game.

i try to hop back on a few weeks later, and when i pressed play, the app would launch to a black screen that would stay on for a few seconds, then close, not giving any error message or anything of the like. 2 re-installations + several driver updates later, the issue is still happening, whether it be online, offline, or a different account, etc etc. i'd really love to play the game again but AHHH i dont know how to deal with this issue :(

Dark ages for some reason deleted my saves and reset my progress when I un-installed the game. Is that a problem for everyone or am I unlucky?

I'm running a 5090, 32 gb of ram, and a ryzen 7 9800x3d. Everytime I run the game with path tracing enabled it crashes, anywhere between 3-60 seconds, the crashing is a visual freeze with audio still playing. It seems like turning off certain path tracing options makes it last slightly longer but it will always crash. Runs fine with path tracing disabled. I have reinstalled the most recent nvidia graphics driver multiple times including a clean install. Has anyone else had this issue?

Yes, it doesn't crash until the game starts and then it crashes seconds after the gameplay loads. . Sometimes I'll get a blue screen other times it may flicker all my screens like my gpu is slightly crashing

@void anchor If it helps, on the Xbox Series X (1.3.xxxx) just flat out doesn't work properly for me. Enemies are invisible, map doesn't load, music doesn't play, etc. Game is smooth otherwise, lol.

Is this where I can report bugs? I have a common one that keeps happening on my PS5 version of Dark Ages. From time to time my melee attack will just stop working. I can only fix it by either restarting my last checkpoint or in the case of pandemonium runs, restart the level. I've had to do this several times a day.

Have an issue where when an in game tutorial will pop up, the game will freeze and become unresponsive, but won't count as crashed. Have to close the program from task manager and reload. This also happens when I go into settings to change things like V-Sync of Fullscreen/Borderless as recommended in the troubleshooting guide. I did some testing for the melee not working bug for the PS5 version of Dark Ages. It has happened 3 times in a row in the room where you get the Chain Shot weapon. Every time I've picked up the weapon, I immediately lose the ability to use my melee attack. This ends up with me being locked in that room unable to leave. Please fix this quickly otherwise I won't be able to play the game.

I had a similar experience with the game "Grounded." When I changed the disc, I lost my saves. I guess something went wrong, because I used the Xbox app's option to switch save discs (I moved both games from Disc G to Disc F).

Hey all ! I am having a weird issue on my PC with DOOM. On windows, the game played nice until approx. halfway through then crashed, and now I get a black screen after the intro videos.
On linux (fedora+proton) i was able to continue my playthrough fine but it crashed after ~30 mins and now it's stuck at 4 FPS

I think I found a bug for Doom TDA, but might need someone else to confirm. the conditions are as follows:

1. use the impaler with salvage upgrade
2. find a nightmare imp stalker
3. do a shield throw to lock them down before they attack
4. using the buffed stake from the shield throw, immediately score a headshot to the nightmare imp stalker while the shield is still embedded

I did this on UN and it stalled my game 3 times on separate occasions (2 on ancestral forge, 1 on spire of nerathul). I needed to close my game via task manager, and couldn't take a screenshot

I'm getting high fps in doom 2016 but for some it visually feels low. I installed the game the other day on my laptop and started noticing visible suttering, input delay, and crackling audio. Im using a 4060 laptop gpu with an i7 13620H with the vulkan api turned on. I also tried turning on performance metrics within the game settings and took screenshots of them, which I love to show you but UNFORTUNATELY this server doesn't seem to allow screenshot uploads.

Too lazy to screenshot. I heard from someone that the issues had something to do with cpu latency or smthing idk, so I took screenshots of the performance metric to show identify whether it was or not

Screenshots are easier in every sense, but I mean... you do you lol. CPU latency does make sense though, and without looking up the specs on your CPU, it is my first guess as to the culprit. I've admittedly fallen off of Intel for quite some time, so I don't recognize models quickly like I did back in the Pentium days.

At a glance, it seems to be up to snuff for the game, but I see its intended purpose is apparently mobile? That could be part of the problem, but I don't know enough to go further.

The only fix I know of sounds a little meaner than intended, but it would be to use a CPU intended for desktop use.

There may be something you can do with a power profile if perhaps the system is telling the CPU to use less power at times during gameplay, or perhaps there could even be ways of messing with voltages to the CPU directly, but I'm not equipped to assist with something that comes with an inherent risk to your hardware like that.

Out of curiosity has anyone had issues with the "Berserker" and "melee expert" achievements recently in doom the dark ages? I 100%'ed the campaign, and unlocked all upgrades for everything (shield, weapons, etc...) however it does not give me these two achievements.

I had the same problem and the solution I found was changing the sound output option in sound settings (it doesn't matter which one you choose) however, for me it only works when the game is open, whenever I close it, I gotta change the output option again for it to sound properly

Unfortunately there's not much you can do other than start over. You can't get anything back that's gone like that

If you hit a start button and it brought you back to the beginning, that means you lost all of your extra lives in that mode. That's the whole point; you have a set amount of them, and when you run out-that's the end of it. You can't get them back.

I've come to complain about Doom the Dark ages updating their ToS (terms of service). I am met with an "option" of having to agree or I cannot play the game I have purchased. This should be illegal, but I lack the money or time to commit a case to a lawyer. Scrolling in here I don't hold a lot of hope, but after trying official support twice with zero useful outcome, they pointed me here.
I've been soft locked in TDA since launch week, no updates have fixed it and it seems like they don't intend to. So I'm really trying to see if there's some workaround or dev command to push forward.

Basically, mission 5, holy city of aratum. During the tutorial section, you land and dismount the dragon for the first time, then you throw your shield at a chain to open the gate. Once this is done, a small cutscene of the dragon flying through occurs, and then once you regain control of the slayer, the door in front of them SHOULD open. But it does not. It never does. I've restarted map a dozen times, various reboots, loading other missions, loading on different platform (from XSX to PC). Tried the weapon wheel glitch but nothing. As I've 100% every level up to it, my sanity can't handle restarting on a new save in the hope it doesn't break again.

So, can any god-sends help out?

I have a problem, there are many soft lock bugs in the game and I have footage, another one where my shield is permanently gone, there's a really annoying bug that happens 24/7 with blocking that's kind of hard to describe, soft lock involving the mech mini gun on the final battle, where you can't destroy the final siege tower and your minigun reticle is still up when you're fists are out. I just streamed the game and there's like SO many bugs in the vod.

I have tried launching Doom Eternal several times, but all I get is that error (missing game executable: idtechlauncher.exe).

I have tried a number of measures to see if they would fix it, to no avail:

rebooting PC
verifying/reinstalling the game
launching the game/launcher as administrator.
even disabling steam overlay and updating my Vulkan even tho i use AM

I see that idtechlauncher.exe exists on my game files and when i run it (with/without admin) it says: doom eternal is attempting to set launch options with:

+com_enableCrashHandler 1 +win_signalOnCrash 0x13 46C +win_spinOnCrash and still fails I am not even seeing the error screen that others are reporting

I believe there is a game breaking bug. Empowered demons (from which you rip the heart out) cannot be killed as of now. Prompt to finish them simply does not work, so you are just punching them like an idiot for eternity, making it impossible to progress levels.

Hello, why does Doom Dark Ages have bugs with the items you've collected? In the Steam PC version. Also, the secret areas that you enter with the shield fail when you reload the map. That is, they become covered again, but they remove the purple circle, preventing you from breaking them again with the shield.
My question is WHY? When I played it two days before the game came out, I didn't have any of THESE glitches. Why do I have them NOW?

Ever since the latest PC update came out, Doom Eternal has been crashing after like 3-5 minutes into the game. I thought it was due to some conflicting mods, but it's also happening even in the non-modded version.

Do I need to update drivers or else? Since the game ran all just fine performance and graphic-wise until few minutes when it just freezes and crashes.

I don't know if it's the only or the most effective way but I do it through the weapon wheel, you just open it after firing your gun and switch to another one as fast as you can, it won't be as seamless as binding each weapon to a key binding, but it's surprisingly effective regardless, even if you take a bit longer in the the wheel, the moment you close it you switch to the next weapon almost instantaneously (I'm sure you could make it faster through modding the game but I barely notice any delay lol) and as you use the wheel to weapon swap you gain muscle memory to the point where you will remember in what direction you need to move the joystick to pick each weapon without even needing to take the time to look at the icon or name of the gun.
But the most important thing for this method to reach its full effectiveness is to turn the weapon wheel opening delay (or weapon wheel delay I don't remember the exact same name) all the way down to the lowest value allowed,that option controls how much time the game takes between pressing the button and opening the wheel, I think the value equals the frames or milliseconds but that's just what I deduced.
Anyway normally it's at the highest value and so turning it down it's all the difference, the only thing this causes that you could consider a downside it's that it's barely possible to use the wheel button to swap to the last weapon you equipped without going to the wheel, but once you get accustomed to this method, you won't even feel the absence of it, and you will be always be able to switch to any weapon and not just the last one you used

Ch. 9 has quite a few bugs:
near weird shard place, enemies spawned causing red barrier to show up. then these enemies disappeared but the barriers stayed. These barriers blocked my path going to the mining heart. took me agood 15 min of map running to realize this was unpassable. I restarted from last checkpoint.
another bug, same mission. there's a boss guy walking around the heart. home boy hits me and smacks me into a mountain which I went through. I then proceeded to fall through the map and through into ch.10 snowy map and continued to fall endlessly. had to Reboot again.

"import save profile" isnt working on DOOM eternal. went to launch with mods after making some setting changes on the basegame, ISP ticked on, launched like normal and none of the settings i changed were on the modded client.

did some testing and deleted the save entirely for the modded client, then repeated the same process. (launched the game with mods. ISP ticked on) and it booted up as if it was my first time playing DOOM eternal. (fresh settings, ect) so basically Import Save Profile is completely broken and does not work whatsoever for me when it worked perfectly fine before.

Have a selective list of colors for it to draw the game colors

They will make it look darker because the tonemap is restricting to draw a gamma of colors

There will be those differences that cant make it the same but will look close, as some textures or sprites will end up being slightly visible on the software renderer

Software light mode is randi's take on doom lightning in zdoom, but makes the player sprites brightened

Heio, does anyone know how to fix the yellow warning triangle on wifi? It says no internet, connected. Its been like this for like 2 months now. Wifi works fine on any other devices, its only a problem on my pc. Have tried just about everything under the sun

Generally you should go in control panel or type "recovery" in search

Then you can choose, if you want to save data and documents or perform clean install

Recovery shouldn't touch anything besides Windows folder and Program files

What about AppData folders though? Especially for certain games you can actually lose configs and the likes stored in those folders

If you have some system restore points you could try that, since it rolls back to how the system was earlier

But it probably depends on settings and disk space to how many of those there will be

Mind you I'm not sure if they actually roll back everything or just operating system files

And of course other apps... but some games are pretty massive
