for some stupid reason Blade of Agony keeps crashing when I start it

I've tried loading it from both the file directory and GZDoom
I can't use the launcher because I have one of the worst computers on earth, AKA a mac

And the chainsaw disappears after i switch to a different weapon

You need to center yourself as best as possible and make sure you're facing straight(you can use the automap to check for this)
And then, very important, move forward with vertical mouse movement

but zions sergeant with a shield is a fucking nightmare
They're actually alot harder with eoas version
One super shot gun blast or a few normal shot gun blasts tears right through the shield in zion
They also expose their side and back more often letting you get around the shield with proper timing
the 3d sprites look pretty cool and realistic but thats the problem, they're realistic
you can't have real 3d in a game based on pixels

Anyways from what I can tell the anger effects are, the pistol effects the fire rate, the shotgun affects the fire rate and amount of pellets per blast, and the rockets are affected by projectile speed

The level starts out very interestingly, is that Hotel California that I'm hearing as the MIDI? Very creative, love that song.
You start out with a berserk pack, seems like the entire level is Tyson based. Hm, 9 enemies only.
I don't know how to really describe these levels. I'd say that they were like Scythe but if you compressed them further down. It's interesting, to say the least. I thought it was a good idea to make the blood damaging, so you had to be careful when traversing.
The secret was relatively easy to find but I only got it after I killed the HK(lol) so it didn't matter much. I'd like to see the next map become somewhat slightly bigger, maybe provide a harder challenge than this map.
Design: 6/10
Difficulty: 3/10
Overall Rating: B
Yep thats Hotel California, I love the song. All the levels will be small, but not as this one. I also want to make every level have its own gimmick, so no levels will be similar.

It didn't "almost" kill GZDoom. it needs an old outdated version of ZDoom to even "work correctly"

Slade is the best for mods
You open up Slade, create a new wad file
Add a new "entry" and name it "DECORATE"

GZDoom is still definitely relevant, it's the biggest sourceport to run mods or basically anything on
Its a great all around sourceport for most things
I'm a vanilla purist so i dont use GZDoom that much, preferring playing it the classic way and with a better vanilla compat(not thrashing graf or the gzdoom team as the vanilla compat quirks are not their fault, but even then the demo formats aren't compatible witha lot of ports either)

Because an IWAD does not only contain the maps, but also textures sprites sounds and much more. If you want to make a map, you dont put the textures etc in your custom wad

In a nutshell, you have to:
- Give a special to a linedef to be a teleport
- Tag it with a number, example: 9
- Put a teleport thing in a sector (destination).
- Tag the sector with the same number as the linedef (9)
teleporting is one of the basic things you have to learn for mapping, I really recommend you try to get it to work
Teleporting traps are one of the coolest things you can do with Boom
I think it also works in vanilla, but Ive never tried
There are teleport traps in doom1&2 ofc its vanilla compatible
Not completely seamless teleporting though

Actually, you dont even need a scripts for that. But as you plan on making that music play on every level, a script might be easier

Create a new entry and name it MAPINFO
Then write:

Now your first map has your custom music
Repeat it for every map

for some reason the "MAPINFO" has messed up the skybox texture in gzdoom
Hmm then try to set one. I think its something like:

If you dont like how the sky box looks, you can change it to:

or
sky1 = "sky3", 0
If you want to make people dizzy, set a scroll speed for the skybox:

Okay, i may try that. At the moment i'm going to try renaming the music track to each level's music name, and then maybe trying to lump them into a folder to keep it contained
I tested it, and the sky code I posted is correct. About music, you just have to rename them to D_RUNNIN etc. Even if you are following this approach, MAPINFO is very useful

Hey I need a but help, I noticed that the PB I used PB 3.0 isn't the updated 3.0 and lacking some features like some guns, the special ability wheel and more, so I downloaded the new one and used it on gzdoom but when it loaded the mod right in the end an error appears that say "Version mismatch. 4.1.3 expected but only 3.1.0 supported" it happens also with other mods what do I do?

They rely on two separate tag actions that alternate between sectors. When you activate one, they look for adjacent sectors with the sister tag to also activate.

Why not just use doomed 
Developed on, and for, Windows 3.x and 9x for absolutely no reason
A fair warning that there is literally no good reason to use this editor unless you want to go back to the stone age, this is just for me to have fun with my old 486DX2/40 and make some improvements to the crusty old WinDEU

I compiled the current build about an hour and a half ago, it is originally based on WinDEU and came out of me just wanting to have a good editor that worked on my 486/40
Since the source for WinDEU is freely available and not particularly difficult to mess with, I figured it was worth adding some features I liked while I was there (like using [ and ] to mess with the grid, light theme, and a key shortcut to quickly plop in a square sector)
I also reformatted some things to better suit 640x480
