I read in a random YouTube comment that the Slayer essentially enhances the power of the weapons he uses. So that's why a regular double-barreled shotgun is so powerful as the Super Shotgun in the first place.

how does a non-mechanical being "upgrade" mechanical things

other than weapon mods and weapon points, the slayer cant magically make a weapon stronger

and the super shotgun is just basically the argent-enhanced version of a normal double barrel, they are both pretty much the same because doomguy had his weapons siezed when he was found walking around in the argenta realm, which included his double barrel, so they found it and were like "oooh, this looks interesting, lets make it better"

so they made a different version of it that had those weird words or letters on it and also the meathook

and the first shotgun doomguy has in eternal is not a double barrel, its a single barrel shotgun, but if doomguy had a double barrel in previous games, it was probably before the time where he got a super shotgun made for him specifically by the argent, or didnt really obtain it at that time

but with that logic, wouldnt his super shotgun be extra enhanced than a normal double barrel?, yes, yes it would, but it is not
