The only way Doom could step up from The Dark Ages is a pirate themed doom game, which I think should be called Doom: Seven Deadly Seas. But instead the game is just underwater in crashed airplanes, ships, caves, obviously hell, and like volcanoes, with more aquatic based demons, e.g. angler based cacodemon with a esca that lore wise drives people towards the 7 deadly sins.

Atlantis could be in the game and be a city that was destroyed by hell.

No ships nothing that makes it like Sea of Thieves, skull and bones, or assassin’s creed but just an underwater shooter where the player fights suit keeps his weighted down but traversal becomes harder because you can’t move as fast until you get upgrades.

I don't hate religion. I think it's neat, and I think it's beautiful that humans have constructed so much culture so they can believe in something bigger than itself. I would consider myself fairly well-versed in Christianity since I grew up in a Christian household.

This goes unaddressed, but my interpretation is that abrahamic religions did not come from the Maykrs, but rather from Sentinel descriptions of the Maykrs. The Maykrs spread their influence via the Sentinels, and Sentinels who would forget their history (i.e. humans) would develop their own religions like a game of telephone.

Under this idea, the Sentinels knew of Hell once Doomguy came to them.

So Hell would find its way in many belief systems.

I want to note, though, that I don't believe it's ever actually confirmed that the Maykrs knew nothing of the demons when Doomguy came to the Sentinels. What's said is that the Khan was interested in Doomguy's ravings about demons, and she wanted to hear more. Unless I'm forgetting a statement from the Codex, it's possible the Maykrs still knew all this and just wanted to hear more of what Doomguy was saying as a confirmation.

Or, further, that they knew and pretended they didn't to the Sentinels.

You can thus stretch the wording enough to say that the Sentinels may have had their own idea of Hell based on Maykr scripture, and that this was old enough that they'd had it millions of years before Doomguy got there (thus allowing for them to develop into the Classic humans, with Christianity).

But the more simple answer is just that the new writers wanted to retroactively establish Hell to be its own alien dimension rather than the Christian location, and that meant they had to ignore some of what Classic Doom said. Like Doomguy realizing the place is Hell in 1.

Well I hear the resident evil franchise is becoming more available for mobile devices. The pro makes so much sense and also the cost on the App Store and android store. It’s like 40 dollars so it’s fine by me.

I know doom has bad reviews on mobile but I don’t think it’s Bethesdas fault it’s because of the limitations on smartphone.
