i think villager biomes isnt a bad idea but the way its being used is

if it’s about exploration, incentivizing you to go to different biomes and stuff, then messing with villagers isnt the ay to do it

theres lots of under used biomes, easiest example is swamp, and i think there should be more use of it

but I want original use, I want real incentive, i want something that is actually new

forcing specific villager trades to be locked behind specific biomes isnt an incentive, its an artificial way to force exploration

something like that means you dont actually care about the biome, you dont actually care about the exploration or engaging with it, something like that means your forced to go there just because of the change

something like that means you only go there to get the enchant, something you could previously do without having to go there, its purposely overcomplicating it

its not an incentive, its an inconvenience, i used to get my books at a normal village but now i gotta search around a bunch and find a swamp to get it

it doesnt promote exploration, it forces it, and thats not what you should want

you should want the player to want to go there

i think a better system would be something new tied to the biomes

maybe the prices in biomes are cheaper, if you buy mending from a normal village its stuck on 20 emeralds but a swamp it only costs 5

or maybe new trades, if you go to the swamp you can get a new frog armor trim or banner or pot, whatever it is, its something new, something to actually incentivize and give reason to want to explore

and you can keep guaranteed enchants, but dont make it the ONLY way to get that enchant
