It's not a rebinding problem, it's just there's no need for the mace to come up twice if you queue the input.

like you get a really strong melee weapon but you only get 1 charge and longer animation

Ye again it's not the animation that's the problem but the fact melee weapons can be queued if you tap the key twice, like in case you miss a target. With the Dreadmace in particular it can be a death sentence because it takes so long.

Except I'm trying to swing at a heavy that LOOKS like it's within range with two charges, and instead I miss but the animation plays twice in a row.

It was annoying in Eternal and it's annoying in TDA. Not game breaking, but annoying. I don't want to have a debate about this.

Yeah judging distance when melee swings literally hurl you toward an enemy except for when they don't. Call it what you want, it's still crap.

It's as easy as not making melee swings queue for no reason. No need for this to be an argument.

i mean theres still a range to it, you cant be hurled across the map. so its part of the game yeah. you gotta be able to judge how close you are. and to not throw the second swing until youre certain the first connected
