I finally found the time to sit down and watch @wintry forge 's video on the archdemons. Six boss fights would be a bit much. They could of course condense it into three and make you fight two of them at once (like with the Ahzrak and Witch fight) but at that point it becomes apparent that they're putting too much into a post launch dlc.

Hugo also recently mentioned that the dlc won't include a massive storyline. Maybe it's just a difference in viewpoint, but I would say hunting down Hell's ruling council would be just as big (if not bigger) than some of the stories they seem to be saving for another game

100%! Because of the scale of a DLC, along with the fact that Hugo keeps drilling in the idea that this dlc won’t be as massive as fans are making it out to be, it really makes me think that only one of the members of the Order of the Six will serve as the antagonist. Maybe this one is responsible for something specific and relevant to the DLC’s story, but it’s hard to say for sure. I think killing all of them this early, as awesome as it would be, wouldn’t make too much sense with the lore, as Hell would kinda be without a leader for “eons,” according to the Slayer’s testaments. I’m not against having more boss fights, but I think in order to make the main antagonist compelling, they’d only be able to focus on one or two, like you mentioned

If the dlc takes the High Council route, then I think there’s a strong chance that the Cosmic Realm’s purpose will be for the Slayer to travel there to obtain an artifact that exposes a sort of “vulnerability” to the Hell gods. (This kinda lines up with my crucible theory with the archdemons). Regardless, there’s gonna have to be some sort of Cosmic Realm connection to the High Council if they are the DLC’s villains.

Precisely, that’s the way I like to compare it. Something from the Cosmic Realm could sever that connection, maybe something related to Hell’s past. Just judging by how Hugo's hints abt including more lore mentioned from 2016 and Eternal, the classic games now suddenly gaining more prominence and Hugo's reaction to the High Council mention a couple weeks in after the games release, it looks like they're gonna have him try to hunt the High Council. Now we all know if that were to be the case, they're not repeating their mistake and making 6 bosses, not feasible. So the best we can think of is one or two bosses that the expansion focuses on the more prominent members and trickles down to the next game where the Slayer can finish the job. Now it's valid if you feel like cutting it up like this makes it lose its impact a bit but with how it's been teased I don't see where else it could go.

Tonight, while I was playing the game, I read the codex about Marok again.
It says in the codex that Marok, unlike his father, distrusts Slayer, and that such power should be under the control of the Sentinels.
This shows that perhaps he and Slayer really had a conflict and disagreement at some point in time, and perhaps in the DLC we will witness this conflict and Marok's distrust of Slayer.
