based on what hugo has said, it seems like there's a lot of optional DLC content with optional rewards, and I have a hard time seeing all of that being upgrade-based unless they add a shit ton of new gameplay mechanics

one thing I love about TDA is the Battleknights, it harkens back to old Doom 2016 test footage

in a bit of cut content, the 2016 Hell Knights had the ability to pick up melee weapons and bumrush Doomguy with them, this was most likely saved to Hell levels since they wielded axes and stuff, the Battleknight's Hell Surge Axe defo harkens back to it imo

if aiming is the specific reason you want the center gun pose, you might be pleased to hear that Dark Ages is a mostly close quarters game. So you won't need to do a lot of long range aiming
