Each track has a similar structure and range to be fair. Though I urge you to go and listen to the official soundtrack, or even gamerip versions. There’s plenty of standout moments for each one. It’s just that they don’t use the groovy, pop-like riffs that Mick was so good at producing. It’s a different style, more guttural and punchy.

when I parry, if i understand correctly, it helps replenish melee attacks?
Does this apply to parrying both melee and ranged?
And - does this always restore a full charge, or e.g. on the dread mace will it restore less than a full charge?

and finally - sometimes you get the gold ring on enemies heads, especially common after parries, I'm pretty sure this relates to melee.
Is this just higher damage melee, or something else as well, like not consuming a charge?

(In my opinion) Modern Doom players fall victim to the cbt, need everything as fast and broken as possible playstyle. Which I'm not ruling myself out of often...It's fun at times and is a great challenge to yourself. But the games aren't meant to be played this way just because the option is there. I think personally that the higher sliders in TDA were set to appease this crowd that they know is growing and would complain otherwise. Without meathooking and ballista boosting if you're playing vanilla and without tech or console commands or mods, TDA strafing and other tools are faster than Eternal.

I mean look, I mostly feel the same way, insofar as I'm much more about big budget, lifelike AAAs than relatively small team platformers like Astrobot, or silksong

but that's just how it goes. the game being smaller or less graphically intensive or whatever, doesn't seem to prevent games from winning GOTY in most people's minds.

It's kind of hard for these games that nail something absolutely brilliant the first time out, like Hades, or HZD, or GoW. The risk-reward of making big changes makes no sense.
id was honestly pretty brave to dramatically change eternal so much, IMHO (though I'm kind of glad they did)
