-Tag 2
-Softlocking in UN, as someone who beat the game on said difficulty I got softlocked due to stupid glitches twice
-the hardest levels in the main campaign are the starter ones and not the latter ones, that's like the reverse of how you should handle game difficulty
-Story isn't good, it looks cool and stuff and has hype moments and aura but it legitimately is just nonsense
(Doesnt continue on with what 2016 built up with Samuel, just makes the character nothing and that cliffhanger pointless for one, and by itself the story is, and I cannot stress this enough, legitimately style over substance)
-The game doesn't do a good job of teaching you shit, most of the good stuff you learn comes from youtubers
-Crucible just being an insta kill for everything outside of bosses and Marauders
-Marauders shield being activated by enemy fire is legitimately bs, not to mention the rng elements in his movements

Glory kills, supposedly a core part of the game loop, are zoomed-in, forced animatjons that lose you more health than they gain you half of the time
Armor restacking is ridiculously overpowered to the point that it’s often not even worth it to even glory kill anything at all
The second half of the game is so much easier than the first half it’s not even funny
Way too many of the bosses try to reinvent the game’s combat loop for one singular fight, making them worse as a consequence
The standard weapon balance is perhaps the worst in the series, aside from siege mode from 2016–literally every weapon has a mod that is objectively better than the other one 95% of the time
This is not even getting into the gameplay bugs

Half of the weapon mods don't truly fit the core combat loop following the post-QC2018 combat overhaul. While Full Auto, Micro Missiles, Microwave Beam and Chaingun Shield are all perfectly usable (especially in the right hands) they're all very clearly intended for that 2016-esq version of the gameplay. This is incredibly unfitting for a game where you're supposed to constantly utilize "every tool in the kit"

Like in Eternal it was chainsaw/flame/glory respectively, what is it in TDA?

I'm just going around shooting, shield bashing, shield tossing, punching, and I'm getting resources back but don't know exactly how

Hi all, got a very confusing problem, so when I’m playing through a level in doom the dark ages, say Hebeth (the level I was testing), I got to the final boss where you glory kill the Pinky Rider Leader, and killed the Rider, I got the Pinky down to a glory kill and for some reason, it wouldn’t let me glory kill to get the essence. Is anyone else having a problem or is it just me? It’s not the only level either. It’s in a lot of them. Keep in mind, I’m on PS5 and had a Save before the Ripatorium 1.0 was released.

Cosmetics is a great example of that! They aren't even remotely concerned with pumping out tons and tons of cosmetics like with Eternal, and are even less bothered with making unique model changes. Skins aren't a serious part of the game that are meant to be actively sought after, which is why so many of them are used as promo incentives

my first TDA campaign run took about 18-20 hours with an average of 90% level completion, I have no idea how people are even completing the game with supposed 7 hour run times. You'd have to skip practically every single cutscene and not hunt a single secret

which is uh... I dunno, kinda pathetic imho. $70 for a game at launch and skipping like half the content for the sole purpose of completing it as fast as possible and then complaining about a short run time..?
