End of my first week of UN attempts. Furthest I got today was the final encounter of Seige Pt.2. Running around in circles while panic parrying is not a viable option; I need a better strategy.
However I think early investments into the Gauntlet paid off pretty well.
Gloves are sick, but I think flail is the best for survivability which is usually a big focus on UN
But, it ultimately comes down to what you're best with
So keep pushing you got this!!!
My general strategy is to save gaunlet for high value targets, as I'd rather the cyberdemon be off the field first. I use combat shotty for armor gain.
For my Pandemonium playthrough the earthquake was my armor source, however in UN I have yet to make it to that point.
Valid and smart, I like it. I love how many play styles are in this game istg 
I love how every weapon is viable if you know what to pair it with.
Gaunlet is also really good value against enemies that demand multiple parries at once. You can wipe out a cyberdemon in about ten seconds if you have the shock upgrade paired with Chainshot's blessing

One last thought on the gauntlet. In Kahlim when you pick it up, it's shown to be a seperate glove than the one Doomguy starts out with. This opens the door for a potential DLC cutscene where Doomguy takes off the power gauntlet and whacks someone in the face with it.

act2+3 encounter changes, master levels (if we go by what they teased it should be khalim+abyssal forest but could be smth else), horde mode or smth similar hopefully but thats less confirmed, alot of QoL changes to everything from the Atlan and dragon, slightly increased weapon swap, impaler/ssg tweaks, slowmo slider, some ai will see some slight tweaks (chaingunner apparently, the pinky), also smth about making some green attacks be non parryable (not sure if this is still smth they are gonna do but they mentioned a month ago), another parry window setting that will be very tight, also blocking while weapon switching
most of the stuff that atleast hugo talked about that is coming to the game
they really should bring back the old slayer's club website it was so much better
hope its literally any other level except khalim. its such a short level man i would much rather them make longer master levels with the other chapters

they struggled doing half the campaign for eternal, honestly id much rather they take their time and focus on each master level so we get more masterpieces like the supergorenest and the world spear master levels

I play fighting games and never came close to even as half as this destroyed
that hole is literally just from my thumb pressing against the side lol
ive been using that keyboard for over a decade now, and only recently did the left shift key start to stop working when i press the edge of it
thats the only issue with it if you can believe that lol

the dark ages is definitely longer than both the previous dooms

there's 22 levels in Dark ages, Doom 2016 has 13 and Doom Eternal has 19 including TAG pt 1 and 2 levels
plus the general size of the levels in dark ages are way larger
i just wish melee combat didnt automatically lock you onto an enemy and your character ZOOMS into them

Hey guys, I havnt been able to join the slayers club since doom eternal because I put in an incorrect email for my bethesda account and it never let me change it. Does anyone know if I can change this? Its making me never be allowed to do anything online related with Doom and it sucks. Bethesda hasnt helped me at all either

you have the meat hook from the previous game with its amazing chain physics that could have been used with the new flail
could have easily used it for traversal instead ofthat absolutely idiotic method of slinging your shield into some random corpse with GREEN blood conveniantly placed just for the doom slayer to use, so that he can throw the shield into it, then try to retrieve the shield which leads to the slayer being PULLED towards the shield becuase....reasons
its the laziest solution to a design problem and it really pisses me off
the general idea of all these locking mechanisms that literally only function becuase the slayer uses a unique item that only he has

The multiplayer components of 2016 and eternal weren't super well received
the whole parry mechanic would have been much more fun if you could have had sekiro esque exchanges between bigger enemies
doom 2016 was on the right course but the weapons and the way they did that whole progression system ruined it
then eternal tried something way wierder and just didnt do what should have been obvious....deathmatch,team deathmatch using the weapons you get in the campaign....
one thing I would love for Dark Ages if you could do both executions and glory kills, I know glory kills are technically still in the game but I mean something like Eternals or 2016s glory kills along side the executions

well difference being in a "regular" fps game, you melee people by sneaking up from behind usually, so the punishment for whiffing is negligible
meanwhile in TDA when you melee, you lose your shield and all your protection, so if you end up whiffing, you basically die instantly on higher difficulties or get very close to it

moreover, the blood punch will decimate enemies, hard falter, it ties into the resource mangement system, and it ties into the gunplay, which the base punch wouldn't. the base punch would be a useless tool for those properly utilizing their weapons and for the rest it'd be against the design philosophy while promoting subpar choices from the player
