It's be fun if the next DLC has different shield types we can switch between, and adds in the marauder since it was indicated the slayer fought them back at that time frame.

Some example shields would be:

• Bulwark: Can take a lot more damage, cannot toss and shorter parry window
• Reactive: Runes trigger with all parries instead of only projectiles, instantly breaks when absorbing any damage
• Slammer: Shield Charge triggers runes, but increased rune cooldown delay.
• Plasma: Can fire weapons while shield is raised, cannot charge

The aggadon demons don't count. they just use their shield offensively, or project a force field around themselves if you're not close.

Because the civil war needs time to be fleshed out. How can they make an appearance if the civil war is in its infancy, the codex says as it consumed Argent D'nur, meaning it was towards the end. Rather than stuffing a bunch of stuff to please the fans, they should take their time. Besides, hints point towards a focus on the high council of Hell.

I was going to make an eternal mod but back then, ripping the sprites was a lot harder and I had to keep guessing about making sure things looked accurate, so I spent a whole year ripping and re-ripping over and over again and finally burned out. Said fuck it, skipping this one.

Now with TDA, my vigor's renewed and the ripping process is far easier so I don't have to screw with so much. Gonna be a good time.

As mentioned above, dashing will replace the shield and will be the main focus instead of having a shield. I prefer dashing over shielding and parrying, but maybe in a larger content update I'll include the shield. Not for the first reelase though. Runes for dashing, now that's gonna be a fun time. Like the atlan in a way.

ok as much as I like the dark ages' gameplay, i do have one major critique

the turret sections feel out of place

there's an argument to be made that the general gameplay doesn't feel like doom and i disagree with that, but those specific sections do not fit a doom game imo

i think it would have been cooler to have a fakeout moment where you think there's gonna be a turret section, but then the slayer rips the turret out of the ground and you get to shoot hordes of enemies (and the titan i guess idk) with a powerful death machine whilst still being able to move

and then it breaks afterwards after using too much energy maybe

something to stop the later levels from becoming completely broken
