i feel its normal for cpu util to not be so high, was the same for me with my 2060 and 5900x

nevermind mine's closer to 50% or so

but make sure you check something like gpu z or hardware info

Thanks for the reply man, I know that the the game is heavy GPU intensive but my CPU clock speeds are worrying me a bit, I've completed the game about 10 times or so and even on maps like part 1 during the big battles, my CPU still does not go above 30% utilization or 2.5 Ghz.

Issues I had was playing on 1440p and all settings set til ultra nightmare caused a tin of micro stutters, last night I enabled FSR and AFMF 2.1 and FPS went up to about 130-160 FPS, graphics still looks superb but CPU usage and clock speed still the same but it runs a lot smoother, only hate the slow motion effects of parrying and melee attacks as it really screws up the timing on Ultra Violence, Nightmare, Pandemonium and Ultra Nightmare.

The campaign for me feels more replayable than Eternal’s, it’s so fun

Yeah early Eternal levels focus more on teaching mechanics than on full chaos so they don’t hit as hard on replays

like after you defeat ur first doom hunter, that's when the game is really fun again

don't like the build up to the doom hunter at all ngl, thankfully the combat is still fun as always

The Doom Hunter boss for me, is one of my favourite boss fights of all time, I beat it first try, and my blood was pumping

does anyone else hate that one checkpoint in sentinel command station if you die in the hallways with a buffed pinky rider and whiplash and 100 blaster soldiers?

if you die there it takes you alll the way back way before you cross the shield jump gap with the armored mancubus

especially on a no upgrades run, its not that that parts hard its just tedious having to walk all the way back

my pride refuses to turn the difficulty down

Yeah that’s one of the roughest checkpoints poor placement combined with a chaotic fight makes it feel unfair

like I perfectly understand why from a level design perspective, vanilla nightmare settings that encounter is really no big deal and the mini fights there don't really warrant much of a place to have a checkpoint but at the very least spawn me back across from the armored mancubus

Exactly it makes sense design-wise but QoL-wise it’s just frustrating that one hallway punishes you way more than it should

Aight I know this game is pretty new and things are still being figured out but I recently came across something interesting that I assume to be a bug. So, Mayo just posted a video about balancing and in it he shows a clip of executing a mancubus with only 3 shotgun shells left and the dreadmace is equipped. Somehow, that execution refills his ammo to full despite the fact that the dreadmace only drops 16 shells on low resource value and 28 on second-lowest (plus I highly doubt that Mayo is playing with resource values above those two). I'm sure it's a tangled mess of code which is causing this but I dunno I think it'd be fascinating to see what caused extra ammo to drop from this execution. A link with a timestamp is below:
