There's a common glitch where it doesn't work even after you upgrade everything. If that happens, you have to restart and try again on an entirely new save file... The best workaround I've heard is to either wait until the second Cosmic Realm level to get all upgrades at once, or get them as you play and hope the glitch doesn't happen again.

Oh thank God I guess I'm lucky. I encountered two big bugs on my playthrough. 1. Stuck on 99 percent on chapter 9 because demonic essence wouldn't register, thankfully it turned out to be a visual glitch, either that or my ultra nightmare save file combined with it.
2. On chapter 20 when I was trying to pull the lever to open the sewer to get 50 gold and the final cultist circle the lever was already pulled and the door wouldn't open, which I fixed by restarting the game twice

30 fps is perfectly playable, you just need to have a good, consistent frame pacing as well as a refresh rate that 30 fps neatly fits within. 30 fps on a 144hz display looks awful so you gotta bump it up to like 36 fps to get a smooth frame pacing

So far, easily eternal but that’s just because of how much has been added to it over time.

As far as main campaigns? Eternal is the one I’d still give the crown since it has a more defined and curated design. I love dark ages so far but it’s very hesitant to challenge you too hard. It’s clearly built for accessibility and ease of use which is good for new players but it makes for a less interesting game in the long run.

Ironically eternal was pitched to ID higher ups with dark souls due to Dark souls still having a LOT of players thanks to its punishing gameplay which draws in new players all the time.

I doubt dark ages will have the same tail that dark souls or eternal have due to it being so easy to beat and 100 percent

Don’t forget at launch eternal had 13 levels, TDA has 22 and will get dlc and probably master levels as well, horde mode or maybe some alternatives. TDA has more variety I’d say, as of now eternal has a little more replayability. However 22 levels is 22 levels it is more than eternal and dlcs combined.

The game being easier has nothing to do with it not being fun as eternal. TDA = eternal on fun level. It’s just down to persons preference which he likes more. Apart from that in settings of TDA you can scale the difficulty and speed of the game for your liking. TDA just has the most powerful arsenal in the trilogy where each gun with upgrades shreds demons to pieces. Is it easier - yes. Is it less fun - no.

A Plea from a long time fan

Hi everyone, I'm a long time fan of the series and a big complitionest of the games. During Eternal, I logged in weekly, doing every challange. Following the Slayer's Club constantly and grinding to earn points and after years, I've managed to 100% complete Eternal with every cosmetic in the game.

Now with the Dark Ages, they have released a number of exclusive cosmetics that are region locked and behind pay walls. Through someone so generous, I've managed to get the Pizza skin that is region locked to just a few States. And thanks to a friend in Canada, I've managed to secure the controller and got it's skin (it's not sold in my country) and now the last thing I need to get is the Legionary skin that comes with that GPU bundle. This is so out of my reach and discourages me greatly. If there is anyone reading this who has gotten the bundle and doesn't have a strong attachment to the skin, doesn't care much for it, could you dm me? as a collage student, it's impossible for me to buy the bundle but if anyone's willing to pass it on, I would be so happy and would greatly appreciate it.

Bugs in keyboard/mouse mappings. I'm having issue with some keyboard mappings not working. For the Slayer, some issues have a workaround (known bug) but for the Atlan mappings, they just don't work properly. For example, I have right mouse as "Forward" and "Spacebar" as backward. I just want to start by saying I love the game- like a lot. It could be my game of the year. Love is eternal too. I’m a huge fan of the series and ID as a whole. That being said, man there are some things with this game that just piss me off and need fixed.

Checkpoints and everything surrounding it- first of all, if you’re going to not have fast travel in these huge levels where I have to traverse the map to open doors with keys that I grab later, then there should be more frequent checkpoints. Please, don’t make me have to cross the map every single time I die. It sucks the fun out of the experience.

Also, there are issues with progression and checkpoints. I posted a bug about not receiving the essence upgrade during ancestral forge after dying in the following encounter. Had to do the essence encounter again and it didn’t actually give me the upgrade after I beat it.

2. Challenge pins- this is buggy. They just need to make it so I can pin three things at once. I have to play around with unpinning things I’ve beaten, then pin and unpin multiple things to get it to work right and sometimes even then it doesn’t.

3. The audio mix. I actually think the soundtrack is awesome, but I had to turn up the music and turn down the sound effects. Now a ton of people say the soundtrack sucks and it really doesn’t. I think this just needs tweaked so that everything sounds more cohesive and the soundtrack pops a bit more on default

4. Sometimes if I open the dossier and go back into gameplay, it doesn’t let me move forward, specifically I think with sprint, but I’m not 100%. I have to like strafe first. I play with autosprint now so I’m noticing it more often now. I don’t usually pull it up during combat but if it costs me a victory in a fight I’m gonna be pissed lol.

5. We few more skins.

Honestly the game is fantastic in my eyes but these issues break the flow and in some cases start to really take away from the experience as a whole. I’m gonna go rip and tear now.
