Titans vary in size. Maligog was a goliath compared to the Icon who was roughly the size of its heel.

Titans aren't unkillable, but you can argue a Crucible can stop it from being resurrected (as the Icon was) or that it's an easier way to kill them. This was kind of a nonsense statement in Eternal that didn't make sense even back then, so I'm assuming the intent was less "Titans can only be killed by a Crucible!" and more "the Icon specifically has become so powerful it will only die via the Crucible."

What’s fake about it? The shield and melee are well integrated into the game. You can still swap weapons, but you can’t decimate everything in .2 seconds with 2 guns.
I still find it funny people complain about only using one gun in TDA, when Eternal’s gameplay consist of cycling through the same 3 lol.
I find myself utilizing the weapon variety more in this game than both 2016 and Eternal.
Honestly it brings me back to classic Doom. Each weapon has a purpose for different situations.

I was making a point that using 1 gun for everything shares similarities to using 1 combo for everything, which is what Eternal is. Most gameplay, and most players, stick to SSG + Ballista, or Ballista + PB. It doesn’t have nearly the depth people give it credit for.
So when TDA slows down switching to emphasize the shield and melee combat, I don’t see much of an issue. You’re still stringing attacks together like you would in Eternal.

I will agree that the slow switching feels weird when coming from Eternal, but 2016 had a similar global cooldown. Granted, not nearly as slow, but it was still there. I can completely understand not liking it, but I wouldn’t call the game artificial by replacing it with a new, similar system.

nah, while it doesn't provide high DPS, it's great for control over the battlefield
the microwave beam is your fastest, cheapest falter in the game and excellent for providing a safe landing after meathooking/ballista boosting or anything else, bhopping with it around enemies to lessen their threat is also great application of it
heat blast destroys weak points and hard falters in an AoE, it's also a virtually instant falter, absolutely excellent to integrate into combos or when you're in an undesirable position

I only ever used the plasma rifle for the microwave mod in my nightmare run when some tank enemy was all that was left and I had nothing else to hit it with
just to keep it locked down

full auto has roughly 1920 DPS which is almost on par with the highest damaging combo in the game which would be pb+ssg in close range, which is between 2000 and 2500 DPS
it has 2 applications which is high DPS in early game and literally just free ammo from enemies lmao, it's an excellent finisher on demons

beyond early game, the fact that it chews through ammo fast doesn't really matter, because you'd probably be using it for the free shells you get upon killing an enemy

doesn't feel fun to use? have you tried comboing a demon and timing SMS/silent BATS into full auto so you can bhop through the enemy with it for free shells and then SMS/silent BATS back?
