The DAC was £130 when I bought it back in 2020 and the Tube AMP was I think £80 so the barrier to entry is much lower than you might think and they pack one hell of a punch. You could get some expensive DACS/AMPS that are extremely good, just be careful to not pay for basically diminishing returns
