Watched Trailer 2. Some interesting details I'm noticing:

• The Night Sentinels seem already distrustful of the Maykrs even before Nekravol's reveal.
• Prince Ahzrak calls the Sentinels "humans." (Is that Ahzrak's voice?) More confirmation they're one and the same.
• They're really going on about the Slayer like he's a weapon, or a tool, not a man. I assume a major part of the plot will be the Slayer revolting against the Maykrs and finding some sort of personhood again.
• Ahzrak seems to be gearing up to become "king" (a Dark Lord?) but cannot unless the Slayer is dead. Perhaps this is a test to determine the Dark Lord of the Second Age.
• I believe we see the new BFG equivalent, this crossbow-looking thing. Looks sick.
• The tentacle-y Titan at the end looks very interesting. Perhaps the Leviathan, Gargaska, or Supentor?

The lore in Eternal kind of implies both of these wars took, like, years, so TDA covering both of them in one 16 hour campaign sounds a bit unreasonable.

• Sometime late in the Unholy Wars, the Slayer and his friends discover Nekravol. They swear off Argent Energy and the Maykrs, becoming insurrectionists; the Sentinels are split between loyalty and insurrection.
• A civil war begins, further ravaged by the continuing Unholy Wars. The Insurrectionists lose when the Betrayal occurs and the Icon is unleashed on Argent D'Nur.
• The Slayer is abandoned to Hell. Argent D'Nur is lost and now under the control of the openly treacherous Maykrs and the Deag.

This timeline is partially why I'm so interested in how TDA will come out. Eternal's lore generally uses language to suggest the war between Argent D'Nur and Hell lasted years, as did the Civil War. That's different from a 12 hour campaign about an isolated invasion on Mars. Realistically they can either cover a fraction of the entire war timeline-wise, or employ a bunch of timeskips. Especially if they plan on covering the Civil War.

I have a big theory on how the game will play out

he is turkish and he want his language for this game

Keep in mind this theory has been composed from one side when I didn’t know much about it and composed of what I know now for explanation so if people see something that we already know there’s why

So my idea is while he’s controlled he has no free will, he literally is as the first trailer described “a super weapon of gods and kings” he’s controlled after his power is given to him and he’s nothing but anger and hate because the maykrs think since they made him powerful he’s their tool when he’s a living being with free will, but they do not care. And it’s only when he’s no longer in control does he start to struggle and gets frightened or thrown off guard by things, you can see it in his eyes, so I think in the game we get controlled and up to our first fight with ahzrak we whoop his ass then he dips, then the second time we see him the slayer has broken out of control and now he has to fight ahzrak without emotions and when he has no emotions he struggles and maybe looses, then I’d say in the end game we fight the Cthulhu boi who maybe will come from a different realm as every game is connected but some game like doom 3 are in different realms so they are not part of the slayers story line anyways we go to different realm and beat Cthulhu demon and that’s the end, then in the dlc we actually kill ahzrak at his full power
