I think I also saw the Tyrant too! Much better designed than eternal, not that eternal's was bad, it was fitting, but tyrants are easily bullied in that game. That's why it's so low rated in peoples minds, because subconsiously, the way it plays factors into how much you like it.

Probably ideal. "Eternal" was laughably generous with ammo but it made you go without substanial replenishments for decently lengthy periods given its pace.
it looks like resources are dependent on how you kill the monster, looks like the shield saw gets armor for example

Considering this will be the largest Doom game yet, itāll probably be all Singleplayer. Based on whatās been revealed though, it sounds like thereāll be plenty of content to make up for the lack of gamemodes.

Theyāre reinventing the wheel. Taking something old and doing something new with it. Taking classic level design, and meshing it with modern Doom. Personally, Iām a little tired of the strictly arena-based combat. That example is what I mean by balancing the two.

The design of the game is streamlining every input. Itās less complex so controllers can have an easier time. This is in response to Eternalās bloated controller scheme. Adding an unnecessary input goes against that philosophy.
