#the-dark-ages

I don't keep up with every interview from Hugo Martin
I wouldn't consider myself a nu doom super fan, I really love the games and enjoy my time with them, but I've only got 100 hours in eternal and roughly half that in 2016
me neither but this community gets into total droughts and if you’re more interested in modern doom it’s kinda hard to NOT hear some of the stuff Hugo’s said with how many times it’s slung around
I've listened to every interview he did about dark ages so far
lots of interesting things, gives a better picture of what they're going for than the small snippet of gameplay we have
the main one I've listened to is the gamespot one, which is the longest one so far
I was not even familiar with the slayer being a "tank" thing, I know this was apparently brought up by Hugo after the ancient gods part 2 dlc or whatever, but hadn't heard this until the recent rounds of interviews
But I totally wouldn’t have minded an eternal 2
I would have probably really liked it
doom eternal is my favorite game ever, when I got my hands on it damn near 4 years ago I kinda just haven’t played other video games that much at all
like my mental bar is set so high that I couldn’t imagine dark ages ever fulfilling anywhere near that threshold, but I’m not opposed to being pleasantly surprised either
I love Doom in general, I'm here for the ride, love seeing what they do with it, hasn't lead me wrong yet
The trailer felt a bit rushed, as if MS came in and said "yo gang, we need something good, kkthxcunn"
I am expecting, on some level, for there to be Eternal fans that are upset with this game
In an interview Hugo mentioned how with legacy series like Zelda you expect change, you expect transformation in mechanics or style, and Doom is similar (or at least that's what they're going for)
I actually really appreciate this approach
but I can see the possibility of it ruffling peoples' feathers if they're expecting something similar to Eternal, I remember there being a sort of backlash to Eternal, especially near launch, for being so different from 2016 and expecting the player to do things 2016 never did
I don't think its wrong or invalid to want more of the last game for the record, its completely valid
Will be missing the Meathook and it's possibilities
And also never was a shield guy, in all soulslike I never use any
I will be missing the movement in general, Eternal's movement is extremely good
Kinda weird to have the shield all time in the left hand
But I can't wait to destroy enemies with the flail and mace
i'll especialy be missingthe entire 3rd dimension of movement
Lmao, yup
it'll be like the intro of Wolfenstein 2
where BJ is in the wheelchair
I jest, but that part was pretty neat, I kinda think you could make a whole game with that concept, and involve more puzzles
Upgrading ur wheelchair instead of the suit thingy
🧑🦽👨🦼
Yea I was thinking a rocket wheelchair
The equipment launcher could be attached to it
yeah there def will
honestly I have a feeling that this game will surpass eternal
like just them saying that it'll play like the classic games got me wondering when I can preorder lol
I think it will have elements from the classic games but it will be its own thing ultimately
More like reinterpreting the classic games as a modern game than trying to replicate the.
yeah thats kinda what I mean
after all they already kinda replicated it with doom + doom 2 and legacy of rust
I mean that is literally the classic games
I hope its gonna have the "slidey" movement like in the classic doom games (and just old FPS games in general)
Doesn’t look like it, like I said I don’t think it’s gonna play like classic doom so much as take certain cues from it
also for the trailer they slowed it down right?
Or take certain concepts from it and reinterpret them, doom 2016 basically was the same idea but they said they think they “missed the mark a bit”
No idea
We do know projectiles will be slow, as it’s supposed to be a first person bullet hell
iirc someone from qc said so
On the other hand, how could they make a sequel to eternal even better in terms of gameplay?
never felt so positively stressed after a hard arena/encounter like in eternal. It's even more exhausting than soulslikes
there are plenty of areas with room for improvement
But top it like they did from 2016 to eternal?
yea, pretty much
make glory kills completely optional, don't force chainsaw usage instead tie ammo regain into the combat loop, more demons with destructible weakpoints, add in actual incentive for destroying weakpoints, make the meathook worse but more options for vertical movement, balance the game better, make restacking harder and allow for different playstyles
This doesn't sound like worthy sequel just some quality of life changes
cooler more demonic davoth variants from the multiverse to throw tons of new demons and bosses at you with very different hell maps 😉
It would of course have a strong resemblence to Eternal, but the combat would be massively overhauled
The combat is already good (minus gks) imagine if you could get all the benefits of chainsaws and gks without having to go through a movie 😱
chainsaw IS ammo regen in the combat loop, you just dont like then animation, there already is incentives for weakpoints (like enemies not being able to shoot you), the game does have different playstyles and theres not really so many 100% completely different playstyles you can stuff into one shooter game of any type
Not liking having to stare at the same animation over and again is valid actually
Imma be honest, no meathook
I love the meathook and i cant imagine eternal without it
But i think it should stay in eternal
The shield seems to act as a sort of replacement for it anyway
The chainsaw isn't really a part of the combat loop, it's a seperate thing you just do every 30 seconds or whatever. And the animation is also incredibly boring
The gain from destroying weak points is incredibly small and is completely diminished by the fact thatany demon with weak points die in 2 seconds
In terms of playstyle it often just boils down to tons of usage of the meathook to stay in the air, always the same mods and always the same few runes. The choices you can make in your playstyle is almost always how much you use something
it's not "always the same mods"
it is the player's choice to only use the meta half of the weapon mods
nothing stops you from using full auto
except for it sucking
i don't feel like it being worse than other options is a sufficient enough reason to say "why aren't there any more weapon mods" while not using it
it's fun to use, and it's not unbearably weak
i dont want more weapon mods, i want more viable weapon mods
it's a singleplayer game
everything is viable
i would rather some of the mods be buffed, but like, i've used all of them at some point for fun
Dark Ages seems like it’ll be more grounded literally and I imagine that shield bash/dash thing will be our main traversal mechanic like how the Meathook was if that makes sense
Yeah i can see that
Cause yeah I agree the Meathook should stay in Eternal it was specifically made for that games levels and combat with the Meathook points and such
what if rich get richer returned in the form of ammo regen for blocked damage
That'd be way too busted
Then bust it more til it's balanced
weakpoints aren't a real incentive, the enemies that do have them die off of one falter or headshot and are therefore not really able to use the weapons said weakpoints are tied to, i.e. it's never worth it to go out of your way to break them unless it's an instant kill
the movement in this game is so unbelievably overpowered that even when you don't go after them immediately, you really shouldn't be getting hit by anything
not much I can add to this, but I will have a tiny nitpick while i am at it, the phrasing of "(like enemies not being able to shoot you)" is highly misleading, every enemy with weak points, with the exception of the revenant, still have a long ranged attack at their disposal after the destruction of their weak points
i'd argue it's better to leave arachnotrons with their turrets intact, it's harder to predict the grenade physics than it is to lurch hop out of the way of the plasma shots
Hope there's a Doom 64guy skin in TDA
I really want that they put again the customization for the Slayer and the demons, but in this time, the skin for the demons woks in the campaign and not only in a online mode or something

I really could not care less about customization
I'm generally like that too but too many people are on it for you to do something about it
- it's free health micro transactions for the dev
cannot be bad
I only learnt to use the chainsaw recently, you can play the game absolutely fine without using it
obligatory bell curve comment
What kind of food y'all think the Sentinels got?
Beast meat
Give us mf new gameplay Hugo, people are already going crazy
And instead of doing a long animation I have to go on a 5 year treasute hunt for barrels and ammo? No thanks
The chainsaw is pretty much forced to use, it's kinda like the punch, you could fight an entire arena only using punch, but it would be incredibly painful
Will miss the chainsaw too, the shield just isn't the same
A Warhammer chainsword isn't too likely when the shield is so significant
@potent sonnet Defiently way to early for specs. What are your upgraded spec?
I say you'll be fine. I'd software are good with optimimazation. Its tempting to upgrade 32 to 64 hmm.
@potent sonnet Nothing wrong with that. i would like 64 for id studio / blender and other mod tools.
Might be related, Xbox is pushing the TGS thing more than you would think
Like putting out promotional videos saying to tune in, could get some dark ages info
but why is it bad that the chainsaw is almost forced to use? why do you not want to use it lol
pentium II
Because it's a boring break in the combat
I want to fight the demons, not watch a boring long animation every 20 seconds
It's also a really obvious missed opportunity where ammo gain could've been incorporated into the combat loop
Time to put on the clown make up
I can’t wait for Doom: The Dark Ages I think it’ll be better than doom eternal
?
I don't understand what warranted that comment
I think a matter of this debate is pretty much purely subjective. I personally don’t mind chainsawing a demon every now and then to get ammo, and some do mind. A way that is incorporated into the combat to get ammo is the katana from shadow warrior 3 but it takes longer to get ammo because you have to kill more than one enemy. So it really is a matter of personal preference, although the glory animation could have been sped up with the fast glory kill rune, in fact there’s a mod in the mod page that does that.
Wait, another SW3 player?
One of my biggest issues in Eternal ngl
Wait for new stuff at tgs and be disappointed cuz there won't be a second from dtda
Yup 😗
What?
U never played a soulslike did you?
nope, don't see how that is relevant however
medieval setting = dark souls
apparently
ah yes, i shouldve realized, thank you Tammie for the explanation🤦♂️
It's a common joke for that genre
The only non depressing colorful soulslike is probably the one where you play as a crab in the ocean
Though that one is about the pollution of our oceans, so kinda depressing as well actually
i thought you would talk about silksong
Another Crab’s Treasure
Yep. was actually really enjoyable. Only downside was a lack of difficulty for me
I don't know if I will like it as much, I loved 2016 and Eternal due to the Djent and how modern and crazy it was, not sure if I'm the objective public
Idk, I feel to kill demons I need some seconds to breathe, the animation is like my time to breathe, it's like a dance, I feel like the glory kills and animations are great cuz they give me a pace
I agree actually, the chainsaw and glory kills offer a quick breather
If you need that, just pause the game
Because far from everyone needs a break in the combat
Don’t need to pause the game because the chainsaw exists lmao
I feel like we’re going in circles here
And always in this channel for some reason
I am flattered you think you’re excluded from my very broad statement
I don’t lol
But it’s always in this channel
You sure do like to come to conclusions
what is my response supposed to be to that
what is the intended thing you’d want to elicit from saying that
Idk I was just stating that it always happens to be this channel
Which should be about the dark ages
Clearly I am taking part in the discussion
how much discussion could there be about a game that isn’t out yet
Okay so clearly I am partaking, I’m not saying I’m better lmfao
I didn’t assume you felt the same way
we have like a 3 minute trailer and word of mouth from people at quakecon, if people stuck exclusively to that, we’d have more repetition than we already have
For sure
I don’t disagree, so maybe circles are only natural when there’s so little to discuss
🤷
You know, more off topic but related to what was being discussed before, doom eternal sure is contentious
Like, it is a beloved game that reviewed well but I kinda feel like there are more arguments about it than any other doom game
What’s your take on that?
To have a more constructive and interesting discussion, maybe we can tie it back to dark ages eventually :p
don’t know what facet of that you’d be talking about but I do think that there are a lot of people within the doom eternal community who overestimate their competency with the games mechanics, and also the fact that this game has a bell curve that’s kind of funny to a certain degree because there’s a good amount of things high level players and low level players could agree on, but the line of logic that leads to that conclusion definitely not being the same
horseshoe theory moment
Doom eternal has some problems > doom eternal is the best game ever > doom eternal has some problems
Just from experience, I’d definitely say I’m in the middle of the two ends, I’m not incredibly skilled but I’m not a beginner (though perhaps 100 hours is relatively speaking, beginner shit)
If the middle is the average player
I mean there’s a difference between beginner as a skill level and beginner as like, just touched the game
Is the bell curve all players or people who would call themselves doom eternal players
what is beginner level and high level really just depends on who you ask
someone with more experience in the game will have higher expectations compared to someone with 40 hours
doom eternal has the thing of primarily being catered towards a more casual audience, if we included EVERY player, the median skill level would probably be hurt me plenty
I have not beaten the world spear ml on nightmare
I wouldn’t consider myself overly good at doom eternal but I have fairly high confidence in my technical knowledge of the game
I’d say I’m on the casual end, but I’m a big fan of the game and doom series in general
I wonder what the percentages for what difficulty first time players chose looks like
i am fairly certain it would at least be in this order
- HMP
- UV
- ITYTD
- NM
first time playing both 2016 and Eternal I went for UV
because I'm used to classic doom, where nightmare is pretty much a joke difficulty, that only speedrunners are into
(and even then, most runs are submitted for skill 4)
seeing nightmare as the lowest is surprising, but I guess you have to take into account players who need to play on the lowest difficulty due to skill issues or even reasons outside their control
in my experience, a decent bit of players go for ITYTD, including me, but very few go for NM
I always thought NM was the default for people that were into the game
not for first timers though
I mean, it's not really surprising to me that people want to get to know the game before immediately hopping into the hardest difficulty
sure, I wouldn't expect NM to be number 1
does doom eternal have little descriptions for difficulty? I forget, some games have stuff like "for experienced FPS players" under the difficulty lol
I was expecting it at the lowest. Number one is the medium difficulty, generally the casual one in gaming. UV is the standard DOOM one, and ITYTD is the easiest. They all have reason to go above NM
It does
I tend to choose the "hard" option but not "very hard" in game difficulties
because I feel like the default is usually a bit too easy in modern games (I understand why this is, I'm not complaining)
TLOU part 1 and 2 I thought hard was the perfect first time experience
didn't feel like a cake walk but I wasn't frequently hitting brick walls
turbo overkill is probably the only game ive played recently where i didnt go for the hardest difficulty
and ultrakill would be there too if actually had played the game since brutal dropped
I usually like playing on normal. I go for easy if I'm just there for collectibles or the game kicks my ass (i.e. Rayman Classic), hard when I want a thrill or I'm just very experienced in the game (TASM 1 and 2)
but then again, i play very few games lol
I've been playing on the "hard" option on Turbo Overkill, the one above normal
it feels a bit easy tbh
maybe because I'm experienced in doom eternal, which turbo overkill is in many ways similar to
also: the microwave beam in turbo overkill is way better than eternal's lmao
serve me pain was what i went for in turbo overkill, it felt good, i died 1-3 times per mission or something
dont think i ever finished the game
I'm on E2, I bounced off it hard the first time I played it, but I'm enjoying it more this time
doom eternals progression is so lame, like how it’s marginally easier to do late game than it is early game, I distinctly recall having played on hurt me plenty around this time, yet had managed to clear arc complex master level on nightmare without ever even having touched the difficulty prior
like, I must have just been in a bad mood because despite its similarities to eternal it did not do it for me
murder machine just sounded like a kinda crazy difficulty lol
the part with health packs only dropping from enemies and almost 7x damage
I think the one I'm playing is street cleaner or smthn
kinda doesn't sound too fun lol
i kinda wanna go back now and finish the game
but swapping weapons in there is so busted
like, you can do it instantly
and put some flame thrower in there and you'll be chilling
you control the buttons you press
I be chilling using the weapon wheel lmao
not binding this shit
Binding weapons is fun IMO
how would you compare ultrakill to this or eternal?
I've heard its really good but I'm just not a boom shoot guy
I always bind weapons as soon as i get them, and then just change binds as i progress and unlock more weapons
I mean, its technically not that since its more like Eternal I guess
fair enough, boss
Ultrakill is similar to Eternal in movement, but a bit more hectic of course
Then weapon swapping and the other stuff it's pretty similar to turbo overkill
its different enough to not make me wonder why I'm not playing Eternal?
it's a bit hard to compare them
yes
aight, I'll check it out
they are by no means the same game
yeah but when I play a lot of boomer shooters I just wonder why I'm not playing quake or doom lol
yes, and I think we have seen what happens when people don’t get that concept
straight up, miracle whip
mayonnaise flashbacks...
I Love how he’s not even good at eternal but touted around what little skill he had as if it were some sort of leverage for his argument
i watched way too many of mayo's videos recently, it's wild
he completely misinterprets the arguments for why the marauder is bad
“hey guys I’m really experienced in this other game ( he’s not ) so this means I am qualified to talk about this game that fits into the same genre but does not play the same whatsoever”
eh fuck it its on sale I'll buy it now
nice
now i wanna play some ultrakill and turbo overkill lol
i never finished either of them
I don't watch this guy, but he's on this discord so I wouldn't be too mean :p
if I cared about that I wouldn’t put it in a public server
he has talked like twice in the past 3 years, and once was responding to me kinda hating on him
not hating
I mean idk what his personality is
but like, something
oh neat its only 2 gigs
If a dude with 100k subs can’t take indirect criticism from a singular person, that might be indicative of something
you should play I Am Your Beast
uh, its not really similar but its really good
I am in shill mode
my spongebob squarepants battle for bikini bottom playthrough has been on hold for a few weeks because I keep finding shooters I want to play
now that's a tough game for real gamers
Yes, criticising, that's the word i was looking for
First i need to finish ultrakill and turbo overkill
But ill check it out
Why would I do that when the game offers a great mechanic to let you breathe, I'm not the only one who loves glorykills and the chainsa
like I hope I’m not bad for having that line of thought, but with an audience of his size, surely he has better things to do with his time than focus his attention of one of a plethora of existing detractors
its not difficult, at least until trying to S rank the challenge levels, but its got really great gameplay
also the music is bangin
Yall think u can pet the dragon in the dark ages
I have found myself finding great fun in easier doom eternal stuff recently anyways
Can I pet tha dawg
You can always do stuff like no health damage
I doubt it but it would be cool to be able to pet the dragon
man I am probably burnt out on this game, I can barely tolerate the entrance to SGN ML right now, how long of a break do I take to make this go away?
Which gets particularly interesting without flame belch
Really promotes what im trying to incorporate into my playstyle
I wish for a little minigame where u take care of daisy
idk if daisy will ever be anything more than an easter egg
You would think so
One can dream
It’s just so boring, I think that’s why I’ve primarily speedran lately because it’s an entirely different thought process
a nintendogs style minigame would be really cute
I need to play another game or smthn
what kind of games do you typically play?
lolll
this has been pretty much the only game I’ve been playing for almost 4 years
so idk the answer to that question
that's wild
uh, turbo overkill is very doom eternal-core, but different enough to not feel like a rip off
have you played Neon White?
loved that one
The thing i dislike most about turbo overkill is the ammo
You get ammo by scavenging for it... which is so boring
old school style
And at least in the beginning ammo counts for weapons is soo unbalanced if you animation cancel by quick switching
Some guns are always low and some are always high
I think turbo overkill has more of a weapon hierarchy than eternal
me being burnt out probably shouldn’t surprise me https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/1077069514505728152/1287380872030326825/IMG_2900.png?ex=66f1565e&is=66f004de&hm=79735b4a11ba043753f6813b923ea76b5e24d959ee91b121237d18ec8dfb54c6&
Shit, you have over 2000 hours now
dear lord
I don’t even have much more to do because I’ve speedran all 3 campaigns
I would maybe play some other games, like, not get as in depth with them as eternal, just finish them and feel good
Being burnt out after 2000 hours might be fair
Tormented earth UN when
do you like shooters tammie? or is doom eternal the only on you ever got into?
idk what kind of games you were into before eternal
btw, how old are your steam accounts?
mines at 11 years rn, not super impressive but I've had it for a while
have a guy on my friend's list with 21 years of service
like holy shit, bro must have got steam on launch
I think I met him playing Quake 2 DM
Sometimes you just find people with insane stats on steam
Once i found a guy with 3300 hours in eternal
And 2000+ on subnautica
And then some more games with 1000+hours
on steam the only game I have that's close to 1000 hours is TF2, and I haven't played it since high school pretty much
its at 893 hours
uh, I imagine I probably have more in minecraft, since I played a ton of that in middle school
and probably more than that in classic doom, collectively
Minecrfat is by wide margin my mlst played game
not more than minecraft, I'd be willing to bed I would still have more hours in minecraft
than classic doom, despite not playing minecraft very often since 2015
Im pretty linear with my games
500 hours in clash royale
Soon 1000 in doom eternal
Almost 2000 in minecraft
but I played it like every single day for a looooong time
I wanna say I started playing Minecraft in 2011 and mostly stopped in 2015 or so
idk what my hours look like, but its gotta be a good amount
I wasn't part of the discussion, but whatever. Mine's turning 8 this year
Almost exactly a month from now actually
didn’t really play video games that adamantly prior to DE
I'm trying to remember, it has to be TF2 though, like, I'm pretty sure I got steam just to play it because I watched a lot of jerma videos
LEGO Marvel's Avengers, it was the entire reason I signed up for Steam
Which is kind of ironic considering I play it on Xbox now
I used to subscribe to the position that PC gaming is objectively better than console gaming, which is rich, since I had a laptop that could barely play games from the late 2000s let alone then current year
so like, I'd be playing saints row 2 at the lowest settings and it'd look and run like shit because its the saints row 2 pc port lol
the way things are going, “objective” isn’t far off
if only modern pc ports weren't consistently kinda shit
Neither are better or worse. PC grants you freedom at the cost of being a headache at times, while console grants you simplicity at the cost of being limited
xbox is dropping out of the race, PlayStations trying to sell a console for 700 dollars, and Nintendos business model is unfortunately working out by providing a unique iteration of a commodity which sucks for me to say because I don’t approve of them
I think whether a pc or console is right for you is down to the individual
and what your situation is
What race?
pcs are more expensive but they do a lot more, investing in something that can run modern titles can be expensive, and since games on pc can't be developed specifically for your SKU because pcs just have way more variables than console, games usually run poorer on your hardware than they should considering console performance
Personally, I managed to get the perfect balance for me. PS1 for old games, Xbox One for modern games, and PC for that gray area between them
idk how long an xbox one is gonna hold out as a "modern" console
Which is why I'm planning to upgrade soon
the best thing about PC gaming, besides modding (which I've never been super into) is probably the absolute size of its library and choices
but problems arise therein that would not on console
which is why there is a whole wiki dedicated to solving problems with old pc games
unfortunately, I would probably not go for an Xbox next time
like them actually trying to compete in the console market
Ah okay yeah got it
PS5 already won, which is really funny considering the main thing people say about it is it has no games lol
I have a pretty large game collection on Xbox (76), and I like its style over the PS style. I'm not really into consoles for exclusives, I'm into them for games as a whole, which is where Xbox shines with the backwards comp
So I'm sticking to Xbox
Why so?
most microsoft games are gonna come to playstation
so its like, you're kinda just leaving stuff you might like on the table
I'm not really into consoles for exclusives
also, apparently despite being weaker the ps5 runs games better
I can handle lower performance
kinda confused about not being into exclusives in general lol
do you have gamepass?
I have Core, yes, but only for the multiplayer
oh, okay, I was thinking maybe it would make sense to get a series x if you had gamepass since it would immediately give you more access to more games
I don't see how it's confusing. I don't have an Xbox for Halo or Forza or whatever, I don't even like those games. For PS, I never touched any of their exclusives, they don't interest me. Only exception is Spider-Man and that I can play on PC
I tried Forza on my cousin's Xbox, it felt like hot garbage to me
to me, if xbox is gonna become primarily a publisher, then it would make sense to get a sony console since you get all the games that used to be exclusives and then the sony exclusives
As for Halo, the premise doesn't interest me. I already have Wolf, Quake and DOOM to play FPS if I want to, with much better premises
(that will one day be on pc)
I don't really get what you mean by the "used to be exclusives" though, if I can buy them on PC what's the point of buying a PS for them? I prefer console gaming but not enough to get an entire new console for a wider library, especially if the wider library is actually slimmer because of the backwards comp lacking. As I said, I also just do not care about Sony's current exclusives. There's no arguing about the future ones because, well, they're in the future. It might be either a spectacular range of games in the future, or just terrible shit
I assumed you weren't playing new stuff on pc, since you said it was for games between retro and modern
either way, sorry, feel kinda dumb, not trying to argue with you
Oh yeah, that's right. I should rephrase, it's mainly between retro and modern but for exclusives I don't mind booting the good ol' PC back up
my bad
Oh, no, don't worry, I didn't really see this as an argument, moreso just a debate
when I said "used to be exclusives" I was referring to michaelsoft stuff
idk when Spider-Man 2 is coming to pc
would like to play it
As I said, exclusives are not a concern for me at all. I loved SM1 but I'm not dying to play SM2
I haven't even got around to playing Miles Morales yet
might get one to be a 4k blu ray player once they are cheap enough
I have TASM 1 and TASM 2 to keep me busy while SM2 is an exclusive. I've squeezed out as much as I can out of TASM 1 though, I have the 5th highest playtime of it on Steam
I liked Miles Morales, the combat is better than the first one
that is... impressive
I'm pretty sure I'm that high only because of the game being rather a rarity on Steam. It had mixed reviews and I'm pretty sure most of the owners only have it to, well, have it, not actually play it. I got it for cheap, so I just treated it as a game instead of a collector's item
I played it a tiny bit on the xbox 360 as a kid
I remember thinking Batman Arkham City was better
but I liked the web swinging target thingy where you can zip to specific places
Never really been a DC guy, so didn't play those. I first played TASM 1 3 years ago though
which PS4 spider-man definitely stole for good reason
I haven't played them in a long time, but my understanding is they are still considered the gold standard for super hero games
like, the only thing I can think of that even approaches it is probably spider-man ps4, which people immediately compared to the Arkham series when it released
Actually the Gameloft version's web-zipping mechanic is closer to the PS4 one
So if anything they probably got inspired by that one
ah okay, never played any of their spider-man games
Unlimited was great from what I remember, but it's been shut down 6 years ago so I don't really have the clearest memory of it
I played Neversoft's Spider-Man, Spider-Man 1 movie tie in, Spider-Man 2 movie tie in, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man 3 on the wii, Amazing Spider-Man, Marvel's Spider-Man, and Miles Morales
Spider-Man PS1, Spider-Man 2 PS1, Spider-Man 2002, Spider-Man 2 PC, Spider-Man 3 PC, TASM 1, TASM 2, SM PC
If it counts I have a rare promo disc for SM2. Dumped it on Twitter a year ago
isn't spider-man 2 pc completely different from the treyarch console versions?
Yes, I 100%d it once. I thought it was an interesting experience, I honestly enjoyed it but for the same reason I like HL:S. It's so bad it's good
I see
maybe I'll replay the Arkham games
I never played Arkham Knight
its been in my library for a long time
I remember Arkham City had this really awesome boss fight with Mr. Freeze
where it was kind of a puzzle, where there were so many way to do damage, but once you did damage one way, he would find a way to counter you next time you tried it
neat way to simulate him learning your tactics
That's interesting
also, I don't think you have to be into batman or DC to enjoy it
I think it was always hailed as just being a good game on its own :p
I might give it a shot someday, I just don't really expect to be immersed
City is considered the best one
well if you go in thinking that then you won't be :p
True
honestly, I've been going into games wanting to like them more recently
and it has made me enjoy games more lol
I haven't played a game I just straight up didn't like for a long time, though, I only really buy stuff I'm pretty certain I'll like
You should play Wolfenstein if you haven't
I have played Wolfenstein.
i think the possible difference may be that, unlike the average gamer, you actually don't despise videogames as a medium
i've seen so many people recently hate every single thing they do for fun, and i just wanna tell some people like, "why don't you try reading a book?"
lmao
I've been playing more games recently than usual tbh, I'm having lots of fun playing new stuff/classics I never played before
I do go in wanting to like everything I play like I said, not that I'm uncritical, but I do agree that there is a lot of pesimism around games, and some of it is for good reason, but sometimes I'll see like, a youtube video about how "video games aren't fun anymore" and I'll roll my eyes
is the dark ages really dark
No, it plays out on the surface of the sun
i knew it
The Sun Ages
Fr
If doomguy’s opening dialogue isn’t “Damn… the age truly is dark.” I ain’t buying the game
Combat Shotgun - Combat Shotgun
Heavy Assault Rifle - Skull Crusher
Plasma Rifle - Accelerator
Rocket Launcher - (No introduction yet)
Super Shotgun - Super Shotgun
Ballista/Gauss Cannon - Railspike
Chaingun - Sentinel Mechs
What
"Man, it's fucking dark in here where tf is the switch?"
I think we'll probably get a chaingun that isnt the mech

I want him to say “it’s doomin’ time” and then doom all over the place
Any update on the game?
how did they make the mother 🦆ing doom slayer even cooler
I'm hoping the Skull Crusher is an effective weapon. Looks like a really decent high-damaging crowd control option from the trailer.
That's actually something I found lacking in the last couple games. The Chaingun in classic Doom was a mob-clearing, stunlocking tool with plenty of common ammo to dispose of. It didn't quite serve the same purpose in 2016/Eternal.
I hope they don't repeat the problem in eternal where all fully automatic guns are both boring and weak
If they remove movement complexity it only stands to reason that your gunset is more complicated
Automatic guns were done pretty dirty in both games. QS killed a lot of the underlying nuance that Doom's arsenal had.
Not just QS, having sheer damage be the biggest arbiter of weapon choice leads to few optimal choices. With nudoom i'd say you can't just do the same philosophy as ogdoom anyways
Classic Doom's arsenal was basic but insanely practical and effective with minimal skill involved. I hope they can replicate that and actually serve us some proper punchy weapons that get the job done without the need of gimmicks.
Considering we have weapon mods now, i don't think that will be the route at all
Plus we are already oversaturated by "simple" boomer shooters with standard weapons, a AAA studio fully delving into the gimmicks imo where all are actually equal is so muxh more interesting
From the outset, I mean. The last couple Doom games have a tendency to make weapon standard fire suck without upgrades of any sort.
2016's Rocket Launcher is particularly insulting.
That's because half the guns in eternal (if you include weapons mods as seperate weapons) are unbalanced compared to eachother
It's not even a weapon-unique thing
I just want to be able to one-shot cut through mobs with a combat shotgun round from medium distance again.
Aslong as it's balanced compared to all your other options, otherwise those other options aren't real options
The fact the enemy cap seems higher than the last couple games gives me hope that enemies will have generally lower HP but hit harder than previous entries.
Which may balance it out. We'll see.
I just hope they didn't regress on their game design after the whining that came out of eternal's release
That's actually something I rambled on about a while back. I hope they don't backpedal all the way to TAG 2's design philosophy and completely undo every mechanic that the Reddit crowd yapped on for being too 'unfun'. You should be forced out of your comfort zone and you should be forced to utilize your mobility to traverse levels every so often. Classic Doom's ambushes and labyrinths come to mind.
I think Hugo once made a comment on Doom 64 feeling like it fucked with the player, and that's something they kinda had going in Eternal, but didn't fully realize outside of a handful platforming hazards peppered throughout. The problem wasn't with the platforming itself existing, it's that they could've done so many more creative things with it.
Bring back ambushes and traps, dammit.
Only complaint about out of combat platforming i have is that it doesn't mesh well enough with in combat movement
Where's all the monkeybars? All the climbable walls? They should be more integrated so out of combat movement is sharpening your in combat movement
I can recall instances of platforming in SGN/AC where you had to climb walls and stuff to progress.
Problem is, again, they didn't make them interesting enough.
I would've loved to see the platforming involve at least some form of combat, or proper punishment instead of shaving some HP off for missing the timing on a jump.
Meh it's out of combat platforming, more punishment then just some HP loss is too much
Fair enough. I do believe downtime is important to pacing, I just hope they can think of interesting things to do this time around outside of the heavy combat sequences.
Ideally I'd prefer less arenas and more incidental combat with 1-2 enemies putting the hurt on, kinda like Eternal does on occasion, to keep the player engaged.
I would honestly love to see something like Plutonia’s Map11 “Hunted”
Obviously not the exact same thing because archies don’t work the same, but still
It is! Just not to the point where for failing you need an even harsher punishment
Less arenas noooo
Remember 2016, you just die if you fell
I might be in the minority here but I just want entire levels to be sprawling, nonlinear mazes again.
Have every AI be active at once and get the drop in on you as soon as you open a door is peak Doom.
I agree, but I still want some linear maps still.
Or pseudo linear
Bro imagine Go 2 It
But modern
Foundry and Argent Facility in 2016 have phenomenal layouts, but ultimately they only serve the purpose of setpieces for the Gore Nest encounters you trigger as you make your way through the map. It just doesn't hit as hard.
You can have that and still have arenas
Yeah. It’s all about finding the balance.
Ideally I'd like a middlegrounds of both. I want to be able to cut through large mobs as well as be forced to weave through bullet hell encounters, and seems like TDA will deliver both.
I just wonder what the level layouts will be like and if keyhunting/labyrinths will make a return. They did mention wanting exploration to play a bigger part and I hope this doesn't just mean physically larger levels. Eternal's levels in particular were often way too fucking longwinded and I'd appreciate it if they offered more variety on that front. Same for actually having to scout the entire map looking for secrets or keys to unlock sections of a map.
Man keycards were done dirty in nuDoom.
its funny because the first level of Eternal has a keycard and it got me super hyped when I first played it
but then it turned out that wasn't the norm lol
super gore nest has keys basically, at least, and that's one of the best levels
? No it doesn't, unless you're thinking of CB.
Hell on earth has a keycard
Oh yeah it does. My bad.
it has a keycard you use to open a door 5 seconds after you get it
keycards are superficial in eternal, the levels are completely linear anyway its almost pointless
yeah, but that's not abnormal for an early doom map, I thought it was introducing the concept to be used more later on
see, I don't really need non-linear levels, what I want is really interconnected levels, non-linearity is cool, but not the end all be all
lots of classic doom levels aren't really "non-linear"
yea but the fact that theres none is kinda meh
I do agree with that
would have been cool if super gore nest let you get the keys in different orders
2016 had like 3 but they were still fun
I think 2016 had better exploration for sure
and secrets
probably the main thing I think it does better, ultimately I do prefer eternal, but that's one thing 2016 has over it
eternal is the better game but it definitly lost some charm from 2016
Eternal is a video game ass video game, 2016 is often more subtle
I miss Meathook from Eternal when I play 2016
i remember being a bit disappointed from eternal since it lost some of that charm and i had already set my expectations long before launch
I miss air dashes
you feel so slow in 2016
I miss the movement, I love how fast paced Eternal is, I like thinking on the spot, keeps my mind at bay
movement is eternal's strongest suit
i honestly cant stand the dash
The fact you don't move as fast in any other direction than forwards in 2016 is what fucks me over.
"Waahhh who put Mario in my Doom game" like 2016 had no platforming
I rather like the platforming in Eternal, I think its fun
not really a problem to me
I also enjoy it
2016's platforming was worse by virtue of it not working half the time.
Not grabbing the ledge when I swear I did
Eternal is a game that is pretty much segmented, most of the time you are doing a singular activity, the meat of the game is combat, but when there's platforming that's pretty much all you are doing
I have the fear of god in me trying to get the classic level in Resource Ops
after a certain point in 2016 you don't need it
Fair
this also applies to Eternal
both difficulty peak and the powerful thing
maybe for you...
I don't think Eternal was that hard, I think I just was bad
thought DLC1 was easily the hardest part of the game
as long as you use the things the game gives you, the game gets objectively easier as you progress past cultists base
didnt include DLCs
in tag1 the difficulty picks up
did you think that on your first playthrough as well? because frankly I remember finding the combat in the later levels pretty difficult and more demanding
I don't know why but Icon of Sin's first phase was leagues harder than the second
i did think so on my first playthrough
I did his second phase first try but his first took me like eight
I think it was just cause of how small it was
fair enough
talking with you has reminded me i gotta play some turbo overkill lol
I don't completely agree but you're also way better than me at the game
M1 the best Eternal player fr
oh yeah, I'm at the end of E2, in E2 some of the weapons you get are insane, and stuff that they would never put in doom
do you mind a weapon spoiler?
I'm just bad at shooters cause I haven't played them in quite a bit and I'm used to ones where I can shoot a big ass rocket launcher that nukes the entire screen (Borderlands moment)
i dont mind any spoilers tbh
||there's a sniper rifle that allows you to telefrag enemies and an orbital cannon you control||
holy shit my sensitivty was high from the last time i played
i wish
sounds balanced
You're miles better than me
I'd say I'm alllllright as far as like, the literal average is considered
nothing compared to cracked out players
I'm slightly better than average I'd say but that isn't much
but I'm not really the type of person who considers grinding/mastering to be all that fun, some people are predisposed to that
I did my first playthrough on Nightmare for what it's worth
did my first on UV, probably could have brute forced nightmare because of Eternal's checkpoint system lol
i just play and do whatever i find fun
and usually that is the same as getting better at the game
i also have way more hours
if you had as many you'd be just as good
right, and different people find different things fun
How many hours do you have
797
120, here
of course
but it kind of spiked when I was messing around in the editor, since that counts towards hours for whatever reason
Yeah no I have like maybe 90? 100?
it was probably like 100 before
Like a fourth of my hours are multiplayer grinding though
haven't even touched battlemode tbh
I'm just not super into MP
same here
like every once in a while I'll get the itch to play an MP game but I want something super casual and low stakes
can't do CS or anything like that, just not fun for me
i just lowered my mouse sensitivity in turbo overkill from 8.5 on the X and Y axis to 1.8
a small change
on the mouse i have a button which controls DPI, i can choose from 4 different DPI values and I have mine at the lowest
I cannot play shooters on a controller for the life of me, it doesn't feel right
i was told by a really good eternal player to lower my sensitivity, so i did, and it feels way better
first shooter I ever played was UT2004 on my mom's boyfriend at the time's pc
I think the first shooter I played was on the PS2, don't remember what it was
I've grown up with shooters, I'm just bad at aiming really
I played lots of shitty licensed platformers growing up haha
my first console was the gamecube
brownie points if you can guess the first game I played on it
My first ever shooter was actually Eternal
Damn
My first shooter was eternal asw
I remember playing 2016's demo when it released cause my dad saw how much I wanted it
He let me play it cause I just wasn't scared of the demons
played Quake before Doom
Quake 1 is great, love the Machine Games expansion
you can beat the base game in an afternoon
love how abstract and limited the OG levels are, its really cool
Machine Games makes good expansions ID keep 'em around for stuff like that
their Quake 2 one is even better imo
Which expansions for 2 did they make
Call of the Machine
The only one I started was Q264
the new one
you will be able to tell instantly once you play it because it looks way better since it was made 25 years later :p
I would play the OG campaign first
Yeah
then do Quake 64
I love the Super Shotgun in Q2
honestly, the 2 old Quake 2 expansions aren't that great, like, they're playable, but you can skip right to Call of the Machine after playing 64
I'll probably play them
yeah I played them for completion's sake
Call of the Machine is goated though, highly recommend, was like, my favorite game of 2023 lmao
That reminds me I still need to beat Sigil and Sigil 2
Then I'll do all the Doom 2 expansions
I did start Plutonia though and while it makes me want to die it is really fun
hey, you should go to the "featured add ons" section
and play Tetanus
I made the first level for that
Sick
I also started LoR (yes I start all of them without completing them) and I really like it
yeah LoR is amazing
It looks so good
know people who worked on it
Xaser mainly, talked with him a bit about it, he was the lead on that, and did all the music
one guy from machine games iirc
Ah okay
two guys from Id
oh also, another dude from night dive, gooberman, who made some of my favorite maps from the set
its old enough to decide its the best game ever made
I get bored of Doom 2 for whatever reason
I'll try to replay it and it just kinda gets eh
when I say its the best game ever made, I am unfairly including wads
You probably replay it right after UDOOM
and the community
Which, in itself, is 32 levels required, which is longer than DOOM II's 30 levels required
UDOOM is 36 levels
You're probably burnt out before you even start the DOOM II replay. I have the same thing
I'm not counting secret levels
I mean, they're optional, you have no reason to go back to them when replaying
sure but they're full levels aren't they?
personally, I never replay the secret maps in Doom or Doom 2 because I don't think they're all that great compared to the normal maps haha
Do you include them in replays? I sure don't
no, but they're levels in the game
Yeah exactly. I'm talking about replays
Doom 2 is 32 levels even if you don't play all of them lmao
I reworded my message
I don't find it likely that many people go for secret maps every replay, unless they're purists
I basically never play secret maps
maybe besides Plutonia, because I like both of them
I think the new port is probably the best way to play the Master Levels since it makes it into a mapset rather than separate maps
it makes it feel more cohesive, had a fun time with them, they aren't too bad
Plutonia is probably the best Classic Doom in terms of level design
I played them pistol-start via the Unity port
It's kinda funny to me you don't actually need to play them at all for every achievement for beating it... except on PS3
in the new nightdive port they are a mapset, they all use the night sky too, which gives them a better sense of cohesiveness
have you played No Rest for the Living?
Yes, plenty of times. I 100%d X360 DOOM II
have you played Legacy of Rust yet?
I haven't even played Sigil yet
Sigil is pretty good
I've heard good things about it, I just honestly don't really care
It's not that I don't want to play it, I don't care about Classic DOOM in general lately. I love it, it's fantastic, it's a genuine great mini-genre, but I'm just interested in other stuff for now
fair enough
I just recently replayed all the officially released stuff since the new port came out for those cheevos
my conclusion is that Doom is pretty good, can't bring myself to dislike any of the official content made for it
I just used the level select exploit lol
where's the fun in that :p
I mean... if it pops the achievement, it pops it
It's not like I used some third-party software or a glitch for it
Calling it a exploit in itself is a bit farfetched
wow not a real gamer
Tragic...
😢
Well I'm a real gamer sir, I 100%d TASM 1 and 2!!!1
Having them is more of a novelty than anything... to others
I love them personally
I think we did discuss this at some point
but Ultimate Spider-Man was my favorite Spider-Man as a kid
Never played it, always wanted to
...never played that one either
🧐
I never had a PS2, GameCube, or Xbox
But I did have a PS1 😛
I've played the two Spider-Man games on it, and the 2 Rayman games
gamecube was the first console I ever owned, first game I ever played on it was Super Smash Bros Melee
this explains why no one wanted to sit with me at lunch
How do these two relate...
You never took a shower?
nope
A true smash player
I'm actually the world's number one zelda player
I'm the worlds best Ganondorf
Name a time and place
Ill use my experience combined from melee and the other games to win
for a while I was going to my coworkers' house with the other dude from 3rd shift and the the 3 of us would play smash ultimate for like 3 hours straight
Wish I had people irl to play with
So instead I just go online and obtain tons of salt from it
Bro is actually the number 1 ultimate player
then my friend ran over a bush in the neighbors yard
I like peach and ganondorf lol
Weak sauce
I held a smash tourney while going through turbulence on a plane
gayming
It is quite tedious because of how the comic books are spread across the map
Dafaq is going on here
Meele
I hope they bring back the berserk growl sounds from 2016. Shit was mad satisfying when doomguy would bark gutturally with each punch when you got the berserk power up
I didn't even notice a growl.
Just crunch and gib and blood splatter sounds
Oh yeah. If you replay 2016 and get the berserk power up, each glory kill will make doomguy roar as he's literally ripping and tearing and punching.
Not sure if I'm looking too far into it.
But I think a few of the unused things shown off in the Id Vault might be used in The Dark Ages.
I own an Xbox One X console and I was wondering if I'll be able to play Doom Dark Ages that will be released as Xbox Series X|S game.
I never tried to download from Xbox store an Xbox Series X|S game on my Xbox One X Console. Has anybody tried?
My last resort to avoid to purchase a new console I guess can be Xbox cloud gaming, right?
I'm literally just waiting to get a PS5 until doom dark ages comes out.
I'd rather get a PC at this point
ima wait until the game goes on sale
gonne have to wait probably 2 years for that
Eternal is on PS4
Iirc at least
If past releases from id are anything to go by, it’ll probably see a relatively quick price reduction and stay there, like eternal and 2016, 2 years sounds accurate
Iirc eternal is 40 at this point? And 2016 is 20, surprising because a lot of older games are still full price on steam
Eternal is 40
I really like how id software drops the prices of their games
black ops 2 came out 12 years ago and activision still charges 60 for it on steam despite support and server maintanence having ended years ago
I will pre-order TDA day 1
Same, I don’t usually pre order but I trust Id
For good reason I trust them
Id made Doom, no reason to not trust them
Idk I’m judging it based on bethesdas pricing of starfield
Also black ops 6
well those arent the best metrics to go off of lmao
I don’t see Microsoft thinking they can’t charge 70 for it
They’re both Microsoft
true but we really dont know if microsoft controls the pricing or not
I don’t think it’s illogical to use them
it could be up to studio leads
Idk doesn’t seem likely to me, I imagine the publisher can charge whatever they want
depends on the publisher really, only thing we know is that we dont know
Same with things like forcing micro transactions, it’s not usually the developers choice
We don’t know, but I’d be willing to bet on a 70 dollar price tag
also depends on the content the game offers, we still know VERY little about the game
we dont even know if or what the multiplayer mode will be
When has the amount of content determined how much is charged for a triple a game?
again depends on the studio and publisher
i will say its most likely a toss up between 60 and 70
I’m surprised we can’t pre order it yet
70 is a barrier to entry for alot of people that they might not be willing to cross
cause the game is still in early alpha and not close to release
preorders usually happen like 6 months in advance, if not shorter
preorders will go up when the game is mostly done and marketing kicks off to advertise the game
50 with no microtransactions seems fine to me
ok its not going to be 50
See I don’t agree at all
The best selling game last year was 70 dollars
Still expensive
yes but doom isnt going to have sales like elden ring or even wukong
online people are very resistant to 70 dollar games, but irl people are willing to pay for it, I'm not saying I think games should be 70 dollars but that the general populace is willing to spend that much
Shame that we have to cough up so much money just for a game
also depends on reigonal prices
I agree, I don't like spending money
like in brazil people are so poor that games are usually 30% - 50% cheaper
or swiss money being so over valued that everything costs way more in switzerland
of course, I was referring to the price in the US
yea, even now tho alot of people that play games cant afford alot now that we are growing up and getting low paying jobs with overpriced rent, so thats also a factor
I think I'll buy maybeeee a game a month
tipping is an excuse for employers to underpay people
some months not at all, but it isn't usually triple a games
i didnt buy a single triple a game last year, or the year before
that being said I don't really think most huge corporations give a damn how much you make, they need to make the bottom line, which is more than they made last time, if you can't afford it, so what, some other person will make up for it
actually ive only bought 2 in the past 4 years
I bought 1 triple a game this year
problem with that thinking is that exponential infinite more money does not exist in reality
yes
mose of the games ive bought are double A or indie
my favorite game of all time came out last year and its a double A game
that is a problem, but its not going to stop stockholders from expecting exponential growth infinitely
until the market crashes
its not a question of if, but when
why do you think microsoft shut down all those studios? its cause the investors wanted to slam as much money into the ai slop scam as possible as quickly as possible
and no one in a position to make a difference will ever learn
one investor for capcom asked the monster hunter leads why they dont just release the game now in order to make money faster
late stage capitalism discussion in the dark ages channel
Disappointing
Im not mad or sad
Just disappointed
and boomers wonder why we hate corporations with a burning passion
dork ages
Dork Eternal
hello, where is my dark ages videogame
in the future
but its a prequel right
A prequel but its release is in the future
but prequels are in the past
Genius...
I wouldn't even really count wukong, game is a statistical outlier because it actually utilized the enormous Chinese market
Hope doom stays brutal af and doesn't soften down to only sell more copies
That'd make it sell less though lol
Soon state of play will absolutely zero dtda 🤡
thats obvious
this is not even something you should be remotely worried about lol
violent video games sell, violence sells
Violent video games help cause it means I can take out my anger on things that don't exist
Impossible in these days
in tlou part 2 you can shoot the legs off of a breathing human who will yell out in pain to their comerades. This game sold over 10 million copies
Bad argument
manhunt 2 sold like shit
Have you considered there isn't one because Rockstar is currently working on their most important game ever
Blood 3?
you're just naming games you want sequels/remakes to, that doesn't mean violent games aren't popular
Helldivers
Space marine II
Ultrakill
TLOU
Doom
Dishonored
You don't really expect developers to keep pumping games nonstop right?
Mortal Kombat
Tlou sold for the drama not the gore
But I loved the gunplay with the dismemberment
they literally sold TLOU on its violence.
These all dont have violence as their only feature but its a pretty big selling point
U only mention new games
one of the first clips of TLOU part 2 was Yara getting her arm horribly disfigured
I thought the point was violent games don't sell anymore? so why wouldn't they list new games
that was the entire point of the argument
Fucking '92
If they would sell why don't they remake the old classics?
Speaking of brutal games with horror vibes
manhunt wasn't ever profitable compared to like, GTA or Red Dead
I despise gta
modern mortal kombat is way more violent than the classics too lmao
U think I don't own all mk games 😉
mortal combat needs doom guy
Sure
I wanna see Doom Slayer using the crucible to cut someone in half down the middle
Would be an awesome brutality
There are way more brutal things he could do
True
Indeed
BFG10k
also, for the record, Manhunt's violence aint shit nowadays, the reason they probably wouldn't want to touch it is the content surrounding the violence
That'd be Bitterman more than anything
I liked consuming dozens of innocent people in both prototype games, don't think this will be possible again
are you saying you don't think its possible to consume innocent people in a video game?
I'm sorry if I'm misunderstanding, I just thought you were making a point about how games are less violent now
It's not the violence its the political correctness
alright now THIS is getting interesting lmao what does that have to do with anything discussed so far
Mk has gore all over the place but the girls are covered in clothes and what about the genderswap?
what about it?
U played the old mk games?
yeah
Then u should know
know what?
I don’t expect DA to be better than Eternal but I’m greatly looking forward to it
oh i know you'd love this spreadsheet https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/u/0/d/1AVTZPJij5PQmlWAkYdDahBrxDiwqWMGsWEcEnpdKTa4/htmlview?pli=1
that they changed a character's gender in an alternate universe?
they also made scorpion sub zero's brother iirc
its a new universe
Universe implies only one
The whipsplash has no titties
the what?
ohhhh
But no boobs
Come on dude
thought we were talking MK
can't show em in a trailer lol
Need succubus demon in DA
there are no old demons with titties out
How the hell did u play Eternal?
Xbox series s
pc
Switch first
Whiplash very much has tiddies
this is so funny
No nipples
Isn't this doom all about 😉
Good point
There is none. All that is known about the release is 2025
Any chance we get something at tgs or should I not get my hopes up?
TGS?
tokyo game show
Oh oki
My birthday today
Happy birthday
Thanks indxgo
How's your defect arc
Also, what is a defect arc
And is the summer event over in eternal
/srs
/me RAAAAGH
hi
Sgwy
Arcs are me being hyperfixated on something
The Defect from Slay the Spire being this one
I also have the strange sensation in wanting to be part robot
Oh I love slay the spire and the defect android is my main. Robots are cool
DO IT
For real, it's cool that you also play borderlands too
I wish, because from the moment I understood the weakness of my own flesh...
It disgusted me
I gotta get built like Doom Slayer first though
Yh
I don't know if I did, haven't played Eternal in a while
Skins r a bit poo
Oh okay
I dont know I personally like them
