I don't think that shot was as meaningful as everyone is making it out to be. I'm pretty sure the point of that shot was just to show the community that the demons have weak points again, as the manc's arm cannon comes off from the shot. I'm not even sure the gun will be that strong in the game, it could've just been buffed for that shot.

Yeah if the game takes after 2016 and eternal it will probably give you ammo like it has been doing in those games. The chainsaw will likely just take the form of the shield in this game though, we won't have an actual chainsaw anymore.

Not really how that works. That is competition in a way, but its indirect, rather than direct. People will most likely buy GTA 6, but it will most likely not stop the DOOM community from buying The Dark Ages. If anything, maybe some members of the community would just take a while longer to buy The Dark Ages because they were saving up for GTA 6 instead, but they would likely still buy The Dark Ages.
