Mainly learn to quickswitch weapons and might be helpfull to know which demon is killed with a "combo" for example acid mancubus I use one hook->punch->SS shot and whatever is closer launcher or eternal's balista( forgot it's actual name)

Also if you happen to remember spawns might get a bit easier in Killing big guys

Dude same, I can't wait to see what kind of upgrades we can get for the guns. Tbh I don't know if I said this on here, but the blood punch has to be one of my favorite mechanics in gaming of all time. Just a super powered punch that expels 'fuck off' energy in the middle of the fight.

So imagine how happy I was to see doomguy slap a mace at an aggadon hunter while ending the combo with a spartan kick.

I am totally fine with that, the shield saw is something I never thought I needed in my life. As for the mace tho, I am all for it being used either as a doomblade substitute or actual weapon to use mid combo. But I would like it a lot if there was a few more melee weapons that they hid from the trailer like a sword, an axe maybe. Hell imagine if they throw in a pair of doom cestus?

Yeah, it happens with a lot of games nowadays, I think the publishers try to put pressure on the developers to get games out early, whereas it's not like yesteryear when they were able to crank out a whole new title in twelve months or less. The publishers are more about the money than quality, they're of the mindset of releasing the game first and then finishing its development later.

There's also the fact that these names are probably more of a general title for types of demons, which aren't their official scientific name in universe, like dread knights and hell knights are the same species, dread knights just have cybernetics. Balgaar demons or Aggadon hunters, those are kick ass original names which are probably also their scientific names. There are also still specific demons with individual names, Maligog, Kalibas, fucking Aranea Imperatrix? That's the hardest fucking name in the entire franchise imo

The color thing tends to be random. Many times it is depicted as red when Hellified or "dirty," then blue when purified or in a natural state.

My guess is that it’ll end with the Slayer getting trapped in Hell again, similar to Doom 64’s ending. These new entries tend to match the events of the classic titles. Plus, it would be in line with the lore.

I mean the Doom Slayer exists in a universe where there are many different environs and points across the temporal chronology, so it's not that it's not doom anymore, they're just showing us a different side of the Doom universe that's been less encountered. Besides that, I'm sure there will be some familiarity in there too. I initially thought the same about Bioshock Infinite; that it's more Infinite than it is Bioshock, but then I realised that they'd created an entire world, where not everything will necessarily be uniform or homogeneous.

So I heard Andrew isn’t composing for this game. I will say that it was a complete waste to not have him compose but at the same time who ever is composing, i have a feeling they know doom well enough to make good soundtracks and to live up to the milestone the Mick Gordon made. Not happy with the decision but I hope they chose a good composer

Before Eternal dropped, the YouTubers that were given test and prerelease copies of the game were saying that Whiplash was really fast etc, but I never felt that way when I finally played it. Maybe I'm just good at tracking enemies' motion, which is why I never found them challenging, but on the other hand, I took forever to beat each Marauder during the first play through and almost rage quit as soon as I saw his portal opening or heard the noise he makes. Either way at least you can freeze the Whiplashes.
