It would be cool if they let the player batter enemies to death with the flail/kick instead of playing canned animations again.
Kinda like how the newer Shadow Warrior games did it, letting you slice fuckers left and right with a katana slash instead of taking control away from the player for a finishing move.
It's just that much more satisfying and personal to dispatch an annoying enemy with my own inputs than watch an execution animation play out.

Quick question for anyone who knows which version of doom guy is stronger external or dark ages. I figured that he is faster and stronger with the current doom we have based off of gameplay but idk.
Both versions are the strongest to the environment they adapted to. Dark Ages Doomguy seems to be a bulwark. Eternal Doomguy was a monkey with a hook

Here's my 5 biggest hopes for Doom The Dark Ages
- That the game is at the very least on par with, if not better than Doom 2016. I don't know if it'll surpass Eternal, but I hope it's at least runner up
- Hoping the soundtrack is on par with the others too. Hulshult is a fantastic composer and whilst The Ancient Gods did have really good stuff, hoping this soundtrack is a bit more focused and goes for its own thing whilst still feeling like Doom at it's core

- Classic Deathmatch please. No 2 vs 1, no cod imitations, just good old fashioned Quake styled deathmatch
- Hoping the tutorial stuff is better handled than it was in Eternal. I understand why it was the way it was in that game, but it's a little bit too intrusive if you ask me. Doesn't take away from how amazing that game is, but it is a little irritation that I hope The Dark Ages irons out

I think Proteh's Horde Mode 2 has a dog - if I remember right. It's just loud and annoying, the AI doesn't work, it gets stuck on geometry and it barks all the time

As a writer i can confirm this is how you make lore
dark ages looks so badass its like they actually know what the player base wants
apparently, not more of the amazingly well received last game that many people praised as one of the best FPS they played, with only some that simply don't like the genre wrongly classifying it as "bad"
He does get excited to add random lore sometimes. But I identify with that. He humors lots of ideas, works with the ones he liked best
in the following derivation, "the rocket" is taken to mean "the rocket and all of its un burned propellant". newtons second law of motion relates to external forces ( {\desplaystyle F_{i},F_{i},) to the change in liner momentum of the whole system (includeing rocket and exhaust)
I’m glad they’re going in a new direction. As much as I enjoy Eternal, its gameplay is pretty bloated. Sure they could’ve minimized what Eternal had, and refined certain mechanics to make a Doom Eternal 2.0, but wiping the slate clean and developing a different combat loop sounds like a wiser choice imo. TDA looks like a nice blend of 2016 and Eternal so far. Excited to see what comes of it.
and it makes a lot of sense too as eternal is when slayer is at his most powerful form
eternal's gameplay isn't really all that bloated, it flowed pretty well and could even have expanded on some areas like ammo management and better balance of weapon mods. It won't really be eternal 2.0 as the logical next step from 2016 > eternal > next theoretical game
yeah I was thinking while watching the recent interview that this guys are actually really good game designers
not that we cant see that already, but just seeing how they think about these things and approach it
lets hope that MS couldn't interfere too much with them

I just recently got Doom 3 via the collection with 1, 2, 3, and 2016 because I felt particularly Doom-y. So far, the best way for me to rationalize it, it's essentially "Doom, but you're not Doomguy" like Halo 3: ODST was just "Halo, but you're not Chief". I understand the dislike for Doom 3 though. If Sentinel tech already surpasses UAC tech, then the BFG may be obsolete.
The BFG is the absolute pinnacle of the UAC, and it isn't standard issue for the military.

That's why I suggested that they might try to reverse engineer his weaponry, not because it's any more powerful or any weaker, but simply because it's differens and the scientists would naturally be curious about the Slayers seemingly alien technology.

However from the trailer, his weaponry seems to more rudimentary the the whole, which is why I think the Unmaykr will return, because the original Unmaykr was made from bone and sinew.
i wouldnt say primitive, more like the sentinels are advanced in some ways but primitive in others
