It decouples your aiming hand from your shooting hand tho. You aim with mouse, and shoot with space instead of with the mouse in the same hand. He set it like that, because to a speedrunner, shooting is secondary, you want to avoid everything you don't strictly have to fight. Crouch on the other hand, is super inportant for movement tech, so he set it to his mouse.
