Three reasons.

1. Because people are hoping to get a piece of the pie that only supremely influential and popular people have (i.e. Beyonce, Taylor Swift etc)

2. Spotify isn't their only income, and they're just adding to the income they're already earning from other platforms

3. They're placing a bet on the people listening to their stuff on Spotify will go to the other platforms that earn them more money that Spotify does

at this point I've adopted language of DID because it fits and idk wtf is going on, so at least it helped contextualize things. but it is not a real diagnosis. it is however, lining up with a lot of what happens, including the memory problems.

its... hard. part of me hates that I am doing that with no diagnosis but at the same time, dissociative disorders are poorly understood. at the very least, the language helps me explain symptoms.

All I can personally offer for this is to put as much detail into your journals as you can, as that is the only true measure of your personal and subjective experience that nothing else could match.

As long as you're being honest enough with yourself to detail everything, that is all that can be asked of you.

From gaining an understanding from the outside of DID from other people who are experiencing it, it seems to be a heavily subjective affliction. So from my perspective, the more you are able to put into your own words, the better.

going by my memory of my childhood and teen years (and the many holes) I've been dealing with this for ages

also learning about things like depersonalization and derealization helped. dissociative seizures (it has another name now, forgot what its called) too.

DID is something I know very little about, but have lived with someone who has it, all I know is, don't get them over excited or too depressed and be supportive to keep them from going off one end or the other, high emotional states cause (my mom) to flip and make bad decisions that last days.
