my former friend group was a lot of conflict and we only existed because of 1 person trying to keep it together. if she ever left (usually out of paranoia and hatred for everyone else) then the group would be dead until she'd decide to come back and treat them nicely again

this reminds me as a teen we got some chickens from a battery egg farm that was closing down (when you when in the shed you could see why). well any way the first day we get the chickens home one of the dogs runs into there pen, grabs one by the leg and proceeds to treat it like a stuffed toy... the chicken survived and was walking around a month later like nothing happened... dam thing survived a death sentence twice in 2 months XD
