I used to have letters disappear from paragraphs or writing, I then would have 10 minutes to get max pain meds on board if I wanted even a chance to lightly curb what came next. 6 hours of pain to the point where I would throw up several times. Those disappeared by the time I got into my 20s but then I would have these weird headaches that felt like all the other symptoms just minus the excruciating pain.

I would be fine sticking with my pixel. What makes me consider upgrading is that I've pretty much replaced every single software aspect. I don't like the launcher so I replaced it and their notifications act whack (arrive late or not at all) so I installed a third party notification manager app as well. Surely there has to be Androids that do this better

Well.. Thanks to Androids ecosystem it's kind of, screwed up for a lack of a better word, the standards are not considered good so every vendor apply their own solution (proprietary work makes it even worse as it's more forced then). And now with Google tightning the Android ecosystem even more.. well it's not looking bright for Android per say.
