Ah gotcha, yeah its not hard, but its super useful for greyboxing I think, but it gets a really bad rep on Reddit for some reason
You search up stuff about it and it gets absolutely slammed
And I get it, there are valid reasons to avoid it, its really hard to edit the meshes materials and collission shapes, and you have to either write a script to convert the gridmap meshes to collission shapes and stuff, but prototyping is the best use case
Its also kinda limiting if you want to break out of the grid format, and alignment for oddly shaped pieces can be a nightmare (Asset pack bundles are bad for this apparently)
but all I did was make a bunch of 1m x 1m pieces and created the map from that, and then to mess with the physics I scaled the physics value instead of the scale value because lazy

Heh, I remember the Kidde recall when it initially came out. What is left unsaid here is that they also discovered ANY Kidde plastic handled fire extinguisher undergoes significant degradation with UV exposure and the handles were prone to breaking off when you actually attempted to use them.
Another case of cheapest possible solution coming back to bite a company in the behind.
