As someone who has worked in software engineering for years, I guarantee you, a lot of people you work with will be all over the world, with completely different time zones

We still manage, since we setup expectations for everything

As for "not having enough time"

I spend close to 50 hours a week working, and still on top of that, I can dump another 25ish hours of work on my side project as well during the same week.

Everyone is different in terms of work load, and some people see jams as relaxing and fun, and not as work.

That's why said those who are confident that they can participate.
