What is it?

Santa’s Toyline is a fast-paced VR game where you clock in as an elf on Santa’s toy inspection line. Waves of toys roll past on a conveyor belt, and your job is to grab each toy, inspect it, and toss it into the Green or Red chute.

…That is, until the belt speeds up and toys start flying by.

Controls

  • Grab: Controller trigger
  • Throw: Natural hand movement / release trigger
  • UI Buttons: Controller trigger to press Start / How to Play / etc.

Platform & Requirements (VR-only)

  • Platform: PCVR (works with Meta Quest + other VR headsets)
  • Engine: Unity + XR Interaction Toolkit
  • Recommended: VR-ready PC + SteamVR/OpenXR-compatible headset

What we’d love you to test

  • Do grabs/throws feel good?
  • Can you understand the rules quickly (without us explaining)?
  • Any bugs: toys clipping, scoring/fail issues, UI not responding, performance spikes
  • Anything that feels unpleasant

GitHub Game Off’s official submission cutoff is December 1, 2025 at 13:37 PST (that’s 3:37 PM CST), so we’re using Monday morning CST as our final feedback window.

Hello. Sorry to bother. If anyone knows how to make 2D keyframed animations that look realistic, I've made an animator devtool for a game that i'm working on. I need someone to make a 1 second long piece of animation with it for me. It's just 1 second of animation on a human-like 2D character. I'll really appreciate if you could do it for free since I'm in Iran and can't pay internationally due to restrictions. If you're interested, I'll send the Animator tool over to you (Runs on javascript. You can check it's entire code if you wanna make sure it's safe before running it) as well as a short 1-second video clip of what animation do i even want. Thanks a lot.

We are mainly seeking people with experience in:

DayZ Editor (DZE)

Terrain Builder

Object placement, map detailing, and environment composition

(Bonus) Experience with custom assets, configs, or world design

What you’ll be working on

Building and detailing towns, villages, and remote locations

Creating believable environments inspired by the Scottish landscape

Collaborating with a small, dedicated team of DayZ modders

Helping shape a large-scale map project from the ground up

Some more gamedev? Why not, right? And it looks like I typoed, it's 2184 maps to fix, not 2148 😛 After finishing with gamedev for the night, I'll be playing Dragon Quest II HD-2D Remake. The desert west of Moonbrooke has some really tough enemies. Gonna probably need levels in the upper teens or low 20s to progress to the Dragon's Horns Towers. That's quite a bit higher than in the original Dragon Quest II.

Hey everyone!
We’ve been working on our first game, Escape Ruin, and wanted to share a small glimpse of where things are at. It’s currently available on Steam for Wishlist here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4251280/Escape_Ruin/

Escape Ruin is a dark roguelike deckbuilder set in a limbo-like world between life and death. Each run is about building a deck, surviving brutal encounters, and making difficult choices — sometimes in combat, sometimes through events where the decision itself is the risk.

The video shows a short combat encounter, while the GIF is an example of a text-based event — moments where the game slows down and asks you to think before acting.

It’s still very much a work in progress (animations, sounds, pacing are constantly being tweaked), so we’d genuinely love to hear your thoughts:

Does the atmosphere come through?

Do combat and events feel like they belong in the same world?

Anything that feels off or unclear at first glance?
