Since Rayna passed away, we've been so scared for Willow. Rayna was Willow's only friend, because Rayna would attack any non-Willow ferrets. Since Willow smelled like Rayna, everyone was mean to her.. even though Willow is so sweet. She never attacks anyone.. she always just approaches wanting to be friends. She doesn't try to eat anyone else's soup, which I have never seen before. If someone is mean to her, she won't attack back. She runs and hides. So we were afraid of her being completely alone, and bullied anytime someone else saw her... but after some major apprehension.. here's our new sweet boy Julian with Willow. I am so happy, I got a little teary eyed.

For anyone who is in the Seattle area and might be interested in giving their ferrets a new friend, there is a an adult ferret who is by itself in the Shoreline Petco (right by the Costco). I currently live in a tiny apartment that doesn't allow pets and so can't help them, but I am really hoping that they can be brought to a home where they can have some buddies.

It's only morbid if you haven't dealt with a lot of loss. I lost my dad a couple of years ago, then we lost a fuzzy (Sugar) , then husband lost his mom and dad in a period of a few months. Then we lost Sushi, 3 months later Rayna.. hopefully not soon Willow...

It's not morbid, it's putting your babies' wellness first. We have a similar arrangement with a rescue in Indiana

If we are in a bad situation like, terrible car accident, we have arrangements to get them there

Willow is having very risky surgery Thursday. Exploratory, possible removing the spleen. She has very bad anemia. The vet suspects a spleen tumor which is affecting other organs. She just lost Rayna a week or so ago, but our new sweet boy Julian seems to be accepting her. She's the sweetest ferret I've ever known, she tries to be everyone's friend, even when they are mean to her
. She never tries to eat the soup of other fuzzies. She loves exploring (even more than most ferrets) and she is super affectionate.
We are accepting all forms of positive energy. Good thoughts, prayers, vibes.. we'll accept them all.

Quick version. They're wrapping up Willow's surgery. It was exploratory. She was thinking she was going to need to remove her spleen. They do not need to remove her spleen. She wants to do a test for adrenal disease, (here's the "funny" part) i had a series of tests done, the one I wanted to do the most, and I specified, was the adrenal disease test. That's the one they didn't think was necessary. So, if it turns out that is indeed the problem, the traumatic high risk surgery was for nothing...

But the important thing is she survived the initial surgery

Probably polished concrete, the disinfectants I use frequently can degrade epoxy because they're peroxide based

Its still dangerous due to its radioactivity mostly because of accidental inhaling of uranium ore dust (and also because of being a heavy metal) which is why people wear things like boiler suits and masks with an oxygen source anytime they enter uranium mineshafts

this isnt a real statistic afaik but its what ive heard a lot

but maries ferrets are kinda special i just love them

From what i gathered 10 years is very high for a marshalls but average for euro ferts 🤔
I dont eat ferret info all day like you tho

euro ones have a big range too. i think they have more living to the higher end but 10-12 is still a very respectable age everywhere

💩 For the Floor Poops: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4RyG9iSXcSA Ask your contractor about a pump grinder system. It's basically a giant blender that grinds everything up before flushing it down the sewer line. If designed correctly and assigned a switch, you could (in theory) hose the whole room down, scrape all the droppings and such into a hole in the floor, replace the cover and push a button and it would "Flush" and grind it all up.

Also, in case anyone was wondering...in those drawings, each ferret room is big enough to fit 4 Jeeps. Or 9 Queen Size Beds. Or 12 Sectional Sofas.
