Honey needs to be followed up by a high protein food, chicken or turkey babyfood without additives is the best option and usually fairly well accepted, but you can also grind her normal food with warm water in a blender to make a "soup"

Depending on your location, I like the beechnut babyfood brand if you're in the US

She is 4 years old. We plan to take her to the vet sometime tomorrow

Okay perfect, make sure they check her blood sugar but keep track of how long before her vet appointment she eats, normally blood glucose checks are done after a 3hr fast for accurate readings, but speak to your vet about it beforehand

It might be a good idea to get a general blood panel done as well since infections can also mess with BG

Rayna was diagnosed with insulinoma recently. She started prednisolone. She is still losing weight which is the opposite of what prednisolone does. She's always been obsessed with jingley balls. But this is the only thing I see her do while awake now other than eating some and med time. Anyone think this a pain response perhaps?

@hollow ibex @violet owl well the rescue is a bit of a drive. We brought home Rayna and willow when we had sushi and Sugar... Rayna never got to the point where she wouldn't attack them. She only likes Willow, but we fell in love with them. That's how we ended up with 2 groups. Even though it's a lot more tedious to make sure everyone gets enough playtime. I don't know how to choose.

Rayna got her implant yesterday. This morning she's had the biggest meal she's had in a long time, I was worried because later she didn't fight me when I was giving meds, she always fights. A source told me it was a "post prandial hypoglycemia" crash.. a good sugar crash after a big meal and just add a little syrup if she has large meals. For the moment, I think Rayna is officially getting better.
