She said the pancreas looked meaty, not cloudy and puffy as normal but no major concerns.
She said her intestines were a "beautiful color"
She wonders if we need to cut down on medication, that's something we're going to explore in the coming week. She thinks the vomiting could be from the gabapentin. They didn't have an e-collar that would fit, so we are using a tubesock with holes cut out for her head and front legs, and placed a non-adherent pad between her incision and the sock.
I wish they weren't closed.
Her site is oozing blood, but not actively bleeding. Do you think that's normal?
I was also surprised they didn't prescribe take home pain meds, but they did perscribe an antibiotic

Oozing after surgery is normal, if she has appropriate pain control socks / cones aren't necessary, I have never needed any form of restrictive device post surgery for anybody and we also don't send ferrets home with them as adequate pain control is enough 99% of the time
I would definitely call when they're open and ask about pain control aside from gabapentin, tramadol is another common one we send home after surgery
Though I'm surprised if she's vomiting from gabapentin, usually it's pretty non offensive

Unfortunately, either because it was too restrictive, or psychological, she couldn't or wouldn't walk with it on. Switched to a not-too-tight acewrap over the non-stick pad.. she moved a little more. But i think we're going to be taking shifts sleeping to ensure she doesn't chew through the stitches, I'm about to go to sleep for a couple hours while husband is on watch duty, then we'll switch at 4am

If you think they are seizures, definitely go see a vet. One tip, try and film one when it happens, so you can show the vet (we did this with a cat once and our vet was incredibly happy we did, because there was no evidence otherwise that something was wrong with him, it turned out to be his heart causing issues. He was otherwise ohkay however, it was caused by stress)

Also, ferrets can sometimes scream when having a seizure, but sometimes not. So if they do and have the weird movement then you know it is a seizure
