Willow is the sweetest. She doesn't have a mean bone in her body. If either ferret tries to do the dominance battle, she runs and hides. The rescue said she was a little "specially" we do think she might be cognitively different. So we're the most protective of her. When she was diagnosed with insulinoma it broke me a little

She tries to be friends with Mina, our tortie cat, but she's a little different as well. Willow will approach her and make eye contact, and Mina will look and then walk away

Torn on that.. I've read and heard from several sources that it's not good for ferrets to use a water bottle feeder like that however our old lady Sushi is fighting 3 different bacterial infections, and she's deaf and blind, so don't want her to become dehydrated figuring out a new water system, but our young Clyde constantly puts his paws in the fountain... so we're worried about reinfection. Husb follows Sushi wherever she goes right away to try to negate tracking onto feet and reintroducing the bacteria... however, we do have to sleep a few hours a night where we can't directly intervene ๐Ÿ˜“

Water bottles aren't a risk for teeth damage unless they are avid chewers of the spout, and they can maintain hydration with them just fine

#

I have several who can only use bottles and they are not dehydrated in the slightest

#

At work we only give ferrets that are staying with us for the day water bottles because they dump out their water otherwise

#

The pictures of teeth damage people post as evidence against water bottles is always from bar biting
