Thor probably won't answer because he gets like 800 pings a day. Baths are only when uber dirty, bathing just to bathe is bad because it strips protective oils from them and when they have to overproduce to compensate, they smell bad. There's special stuff for the babies, sick ones, and the seniors. According to the FerretSoftware channel, they also give them salmon oil, raw egg, and other meats because ferrets are obligate carnivores. At one point they also had duck soup in their rotation.

for baths…shaye just turns on the shower n lets them play in there for a bit n towels them off. She only does it when necessary when they have poo/pee on them or when they fall in their soup. There might me a video shaye made of ferrets showering. If i find it I’ll post it

Baths with soap just if needed because it strips their oils. Plain water, if they like it, are no problem at all. Just dry them afterwards, not to tall water and not unsupervised. 🙂

shaye keeps a close eye on the oldies cause they have over heated before. Thats why they keep the room temp in the ferret room around 65 degrees fahrenheit. And she keeps simple bedding in their cages

If I understood something Shaye said about it, younger ferrets can moderate their body heat better so the cuddle pile isn't really a danger to them but as they get older it becomes more problematic.

They also keep it cold in there to help mitigate the risks.

Chili and fig came from a pet hoarder through the humane society. There were 5 ferrets originally but only those 2 got to the rescue

They didnt seem to have bonded to each other at all so they didn't bother keeping them together.

well some of my ad money for the ferrets has just come from a recruitment ad for the western australia police, the recruitment ad gets funnyer because i live on the eastern side of australia and to get from where i live to the other side of the country is a week's drive. if we have pictures, i would say you can identify about ¾ of them by their nose + base color 😄
but this don't work very well on stream. You may see brighter/darker nose, but that's it ^^
I recommend waiting for them to have their normal (non floofed) fur back and try to learn one after another 😉

You mean to recognise them more easily? Some you might be able to, though their coats change over time as well as their fluffiness size etc. It would need to be based on their noses since those are most unique (and even those are sometimes hard to distinguish). Even Shaye has had issues keeping some of them apart and they work with them daily.

Yes to recognise them easier. I sometimes read in chat people say "It's this one because he has white socks" or "...... has a bald tail" I was thinking of those differences that we can't see in the mugshots. Obviously not all of the ferrets do have one of these traits but it could help for some

this is based on their normal fur pattern. Beans, Chili, Kahlua and Mocha have similar base color and pattern. So viewers are used to mix them up (chili was not that big back then and Mocha + Beans were bigger compared to today).
These four you can identify normally by Socks (bright/dark feet) + Face mask. Unless Beans decided recently to floof up, look way bigger, more orange and also have a lighter face mask -.-
