I feel bad for all the people who got the game for the original PvP endgame pitch, but regardless of the reason why it ended up this way, the majority of the people who kept playing the game were the PvE folks. So catering to the playerbase they have is more reasonable than potentially antagonizing them in favor of bringing back people who already quit

The endgame pvp wasn't great in the first place. Even if they fixed the netcode issue there was no balance.

A lot of those folks drifted over to Arc Raiders I suspect because that ended up matching the original vision of Dune more than Dune did as it updated down the road.

I fully agree, I think I’ll probably drop Dune. The only thing left for me is the testing stations. Even to this day I’ve been behaving as if there was a PVP threat because that’s literally how the game was sold to me by the devs. I remember the HUGE warning “PVP zone beyond this point” informing players this was a dangerous wasteland. Now it’s literally a cuddle fest over getting as much spice as you can for absolutely no reason.

It’s just extremely painful for me because I dropped over $150 on Dune because I had to upgrade my RAM to play it, only to be let down harder than I’ve ever been let down before by gaming.
