i hope no one takes it the wrong way, but it kind of reminded me of TempleOS in a way,
in the sense that, it was just so incredibly flushed out with so many features. someone with clearly a deep passion for gaming/game dev.
but thats also kind of what worried me about it too, from an outside perspective, is that it is loaded with so many features. i think going forward there should probably be a driving "Focus" with what they want to create. so that you can have a "Goal" and "Destination" in mind, so that you can eventually reach the goal. otherwise, like what was stated in the stream, you could just keep going on for years, and a lifetime of just adding features to it.
I also want to appreciate that they created all of this in that different way, of just adding stuff that they thought would be cool. i think they went about game dev in a different way, and shows that theres clearly multiple ways of doing something.
Either way, i found it very impressive, and interesting.

it also had so many editor/dev tools, which Thor was keen to observe, that these were tools that could be used for creating games. so the framework is all there to build/construct with it.

Fun fact the wii censor bar never did anything, it's 2 leds in the infrared spectrum on either end of a plastic stick, the sensor on the wii mote uses to calibrate, you can do the same thing with 2 lit candles

There's multiple approvals needed. IIRC, they've gotten the approval to make plans for how they want to construct the building. Those plans can take a few months, then they get approval to start construction.

At this stage there isn't a lot that is likely to go wrong, its all paperwork and engineering stuff. Worst case scenario is the architect and engineers plan something and the county says they don't like it, the county will say what they don't like and the plans get changed to fix that. It doesn't stop the process, just makes it take a little longer.

let me contextualize this. In terms of the last 8 years of streaming, its a relatively new policy that trolls and naysayers aren't to be slapped out of existence and chat cannot make fun of/berate/or disrespect the trolls and naysayers. I believe the point is to minimize how long they are "in chat" as a discussion topic amongst certain chatters, because that's actually drawing MORE attention to them and that's partly if not mostly what they want. (and to disrupt the kind and relaxing vibe Thor aims to have in chat)
