Thor is also in an area where utility companies aren't going to consider it even remotely economically worthwhile to bury anything they aren't legally required to bury. This is before we get to any of the other considerations. As others have said, doing that is expensive, even in high population areas.

The pvp is optional. Yeah but it IS the main...end game? Outside of a lot of reading.

The gameplay loop is basically replaying each horse's irl race career, and going through their story (and what IF scenarios if they had some bad stuff happen)

At the end you get a legacy which is basically selective breeding, your past horses pass on genes to power your future ones

There IS a lot to read, but once you've gone through the stories all thats left is PVP, until an update comes that brings a new horse or a new training scenario (which is like a secondary story)

Thor's said before that his take on gachas depend on how hard they push the gacha onto you

And Uma... is a strange case

You gacha for 2 things. Characters (who each have their strengths, weaknesses, and story) and Cards (which is where most of your stats come from)

In the game, you can borrow both from people that have good ones. You borrow legacies for better genes, but you can't actually play the horse you borrow only the ones you own

Up to 3 times a day

You borrow a card unlimited times per day, but you are still incentivised to get strong cards yourself since you have a 6 card deck, and you can only borrow 1 atm

So its in this weird space where you can't get stronger without the gacha, but your baseline strength is already decently high since you leech off whales

Anyway, rant over. Watch the anime instead. Its so worth it

makes sense - spreading the in-game value of the whale purchases to other players helps with balance, otherwise you're left with only the whales and they lose interest without poors to stomp

I have my own opinion for the "true" ending but i can understand why people would pick other endings as their "true" ending.

I don't think there is a true, best or right ending; the entire game is about the philosophy of Chiaroscuro, light, dark, and the contrast between them. Both endings have both, neither is pure, they endings contrast with each other just as much as they contrast with the characters and story leading up to it.

Both are answers on accepting and dealing with grief. Some people will resonate more with one I think, but I couldn't say one is the true ending.

Out of the painting is good because it allows the family to stop living in their grief and move on in the real world. They can process without reliving the loss.

Out of the painting is bad because of the cost of letting go. They have to give up all traces of Verso that they were holding onto. The final vestiges of his soul and personality that existed in the canvas are gone, its giving him a second death.

In the painting is good because all the lives are restored, all the families and connections that were made still exist. Lives are restored and Maelle gets to process her feelings gradually, from a place that she perceives as "safe". Versos soul is left alive, even in this small measure, she can be with her brother because he isn't quite dead yet.

In the painting is bad because its a tortured existence. People are alive but Maelle can overwrite their wills, its puppetry all made to serve her. Verso's soul wants to rest and pass on but Maelle refuses to let go and accept his death, she keeps him in a guilded cage so she doesn't have to change.

Neither argument is inherently better. Context matters.

In a discussion with a friend over drinks and just talking about games, saying "G ending is good because I like it better" is fine. Its just an opinion, it doesn't really need to be any deeper than that. And if all you're doing is just stating an opinion, you never really need to take it further.

But in a more formal debate or video essay, or something with the intent to inform or discuss a fact instead of opinion, then you generally need more than just vibes or feelings. You need to have evidence to back up a claim and how well you can back up a claim would decide if an argument is good, or better than someone arguing the opposite.

For example, its just my opinion than there's no true/good ending and thats all I intended it to be; people are free to agree or not, nobody is really going to mind either way. But if I wanted to state Maelle leaving is the definitive good ending, then I'd need to back it up with details from in the game, psychological examples, theories on grief and emotional healing, etc.
