Like they would teach us each individual function adn then tried to tie it all together at the end. If they would've started by saying it's all connected this way I think it would have been much more clear

In here the educ system that we mostly use is BPL, problem based learning, so before we show the method and the solution we present the problem

I teach econometrics and calculus. Before we start with integrals I have a full day talking about the history of it, which problems in the past generated the need for this, how physics and chemistry were in need of this and etc

And later some more recent problems like rocket fuel expansion or basic cooking
And only thn after spending some time with the problem we start showing the method, how to solve the problem

HvH is a community started thing, Valve has not created an official space for HvH, and despite everyone flinging shit at them for having more cheaters than other games, I commend them for sticking with heuristics. They seem dedicated to avoiding things like kernel AC and this new TPM AC thing... which is commendable. Its disappointing that their results are not as fruitful as everyone had hoped, their working with algorithmic heuristics and im sure a big wrench in their plans is "the shroud effect" as Thor has mentioned. Over tune the algorithm and you get false positives, under tune and people can cheat for free. They have yet to find the perfect balance.

To the extent of having a fully cheater free video game... no. They can get close, likely remove aimbot and wallhack from the equation, but you cant heuristically detect radar hack, or a properly tuned trigger bot.

(certain features cant innately be detected but if someone is spending too much time looking at their radar and end up looking through walls constantly; THATs detectable, its just a matter of how much should be considered bannable. You will ALWAYS have cases where someones aiming at someone else through a wall without realizing.)

yeah its just a case of theres only so much stuff you can keep server side. Like you could technically get rid of wall hacks by not updating clients until people appear in their FOV, but then thats just gonna be some insane peakers advantage

Yea nah, I mentioned getting rid of wallhacks because its human nature, if you see them your gonna end up aiming at them, it happens. most of the heuristic detection is gonna be exploiting human behaviors like that

If someone actually put significant effort into hiding natural reflexes like that, no that person would be able to wallhack freely, but its not an easy thing to do

I think perfect anticheat is effectively impossible. If you could achieve it, it would come with so many drawbacks and penalties that it would ruin the game. The current strategy of making cheating difficult to implement and punishing the cheaters is the overall best course of action. Finding the cheaters is always going to be a difficult task, some companies try harder than others but nothing is perfect.

vac live has been a bit of controversy at the moment in CS2 since its mainly just unknown how it works. And it sorta stops the entire game in its tracks as soon as cheats are detected.

but as much as people shit on VAC live, we just dont know anything at all about it to even shit on it. Like literally none of the cheating preventions and stuff have ever been made public for whatever CS2 is using at the moment. Valve's tactic seems to be less about preventing and more just banning people later
