one of the campaigns i ran that i would love to revive is a "No Humans" game with the intent that humans disappeared a long time ago and the players are hired to help with a recent discovery, which in turn leads to some big bad who is planning on doing it again

This player writes EVERYTHING! He was trying to connect the dots of the story and doing one hell of a good job, this is one of his tabs (it's in Portuguese but this gives an idea of the type of player he is)

BUT, he recently made a huge sacrifice and died saving the group...but...the main villain (Cheshire) invaded his mental palace (character sheet) and stole everything, and now the main villain knows all the plans of the whole party (this was not at all planned by me, but crazy cool it happened)

It's worth it, for me and for most of them. Sadly I've been having problems with one of the player who got really jealous and envious that a lot of things were happening to the others and nothing with him (he failed 2 puzzles, zero interactions with npcs and ran away from all the fights so far).

I talked about this on dnd discord and I came up with an idea to make him absurdly strong out of nowhere (an angel appeared and gave you this sacred sword or whatever). Now he is on a solo quest, zero difficulty, zero puzzles, just rolls dice and kills everything.

Very boring for me, for the others, but he is loving it and not being annoying anymore

and thats such a good set up. I don't think they were annoying, not everyone can have fun the same way as others. If you're too annoyed with him, maybe try to create a overarching story where the sword is actually cursed and hes actually a villian. The team of heroes trying to bring him down. The bad guy may lose in the end (which is the shame for the player) but maybe it can end with some stats of the hero team diminished. So in a way, the OP player that had no impact still impacted the world in the end, while emphasizing the other team of players to focus even more on teamplay and unity now that their stats are slightly decreased.

Or maybe not diminishin the hero teams stats, but the death of the villian makes everything in the world slightly stronger.

therefore emphazising more group cohesion now that the stakes became higher.

The game was an RPG yea, very well simulated and stuff. Kinda like playing a real time MUD.

We were taught by trainers that if someone is breaking the rules, say by griefing, the better option is never to make the game harder for them, or to give them a challenge (i.e.: steal their weapons), or anything like that. Remove them from the game's round, ban them if you need to. But don't give content to the griefer that could encourage griefing.

Part of this was to never boast on how many people you banned. It's cringe and makes players look at you like you're power tripping, and for shitheels it looks like a challenge to get banned by you specifically so you look like a 1984 badmin.

You act professional, ban the people you gotta, and let the public ban list take care of the permanent bans so people get their transparency and drama juice. Unban requests were also public, for transparency and to show people how to ask to be unbanned.
