Exactly. The reason why Dr.K does this in his videos sometimes, is once again due to his massive wealth of experience, knowledge, and for a teaching moment. Both for the person he's having a conversation with, and for the audience. And he knows when to stop, and how to not get into a specific conversation that would only be done in a true Therapy session, but still able to talk around it, if that makes sense.

He's a phenomenal person with great intentions, and practices his intentions very well and in a good way

It's the weird dichotomy of animals. The ability to feel good when we tell others not to do a bad thing, but also reveling in the feeling of "getting" to do it ourselves when it's "justified".

Waters get muddied a bit though because anyone can declare some thing or set of things as "facts" and then enforce that upon it. It's the attractiveness of creating something that the rules have deemed "unassailable". We all like to have our set of things we label as "facts" so the other side of a debate "doesn't get" to disagree with them.

The real unlock is realizing that which things are and aren't facts is exactly what opinions are in the first place.

Any person you enter into a discussion with, you have to first drill down to find out what layer is the one where you both agree on, the move up from there.

The real problem is pre-assuming that any given person you talk to is going to 100% agree on your classification of what goes in which bin, facts vs. opinions. Well, almost contradictorally, that lack of absolute gives the grounds for subjective absolutes. If you share a certain understanding with someone, then as far as you and that person are concerned, that is what counts as solid ground for any discussions the two of you have. Same with groups of any size. The shared basis that then creates the environment for unshared issue discussion.

Sort of like how language works. Everything is just grunts and noises, but we apply meaning to patterns of those noises to facilitate communication. Different languages will have totally different patterns that mean the same thing as a different set of patterns for another language. If you talk with someone who shares the same "rules" for which patterns mean which things, you use that as your basis for communication.

I personally don't see anything wrong with offering something that is cheaper to seeing an actual therapist (which can be very expensive) by having sessions with coaches that he has trained up with his own professional experience. I've seen many statements by people where they have been helped with that method. And they have helped allieviate and get people to learn how to manage their emotions better.

Like, his entire goal is to help get people to understand their emotions better, and sometimes you need to actually speak to someone. He can't do that all on his own

And coaches also recieve training outside of Dr.K as well

You lose momentum and that means permanent loss to viewership. It takes people months IF they recover from extended breaks. To do something like that for a game that people are dunking on just to quell their anger doesn't make any sense financially and isn't responsible considering that stream funds the staff and rescue.

Most of the income on stream is from the community through bits/subs but about 40% is ad revenue.
This means that even if someone isn't donating anything they still help these things get funded.
