There's an entire genre of art called "auto-destructive art."
Games exist as a living medium where they exist in the present. They aren't artworks in the sense of timeless pieces unless they are designed to be as such.

Temporal games are entirely alright to exist, especially since if it is viewed as art... well, it exists in the present as current art and the future - it might have been destroyed. The notion that SKG would be allowed to effectively outlaw a form of art is absolutely bonkers and absurd.

Unfortunately I can't really provide you with the best argument as to why why this isn't the case, but SKG is shooting itself in the foot. Because even if were to get the signatures it likely wouldn't become law, specifically because it is too vague. I know folks have talked to death about this but the point of all of this is that SKG's goal is nebulous at best, because it doesn't have a strictly ideological or a strictly practical goal in mind.

It isn't looking for "people need clean water to survive so people have a right to clean water."
SKG is way more similar to another European Initiative that has passed but didn't become law, because it was primarily just a slogan and didn't have realistic goals.

As far as I know. It's the new highways. In online, if you go from one track to another adjacent track you race on a mostly straight road and end with 1 lap of the destination track (in most cases).

This was avoided by players once they found out that random lets them play the 3 lap normal tracks. Latest patch weighted random to pick one of the maps with a highway.

When I first joined the army and went to basic training, I was one week late starting my senior year of high school. Because I was late, everyone thought that I dropped out or was just skipping. When I showed up my first day back in uniform. One of the "friends" ended spreading a rumor that I wasn't really in the army. Even showing him my company graduation photo and my DoD ID wasn't enough. He ended up enlisting himself after graduating.

So it is boring; cause its mostly just workign with numbers and boring stuff. I would say it is more stable than other jobs... however. It kind of depends on what part of fintech you get into. the older companies are mainframe fintech, which does limit your career unless you take the time to learn other things. Learning the mainframe side of things kinda locks you into a career specifically for it - though there are other, newer languages that run on the mainframe that you can use i- python, java, and C all run on the mainframe.

as for stability... well these larger corpoerations like to do layoffs. the one im at has had several over the last 15 years ive been here. Also, if you're in mainframe, every 10 or so years they try to get off. and they get some stuff off but the bulk of stuff is still there... for now. at least until cloud catches up with how well the mainframe can handle huge amounts of transactions per second.

i do have a friend that works in fintech software dev, but she works for a small software baking dev company. there is cobol, but also lots of other languages too. Java, C and whatnot. so that would leave more options
