thats how we got my 2nd dog he is the biggest one in the picture, my dad almost hit him on the freeway, brought him home, found his owner. original owner didnt want him because he was a and i still remember their exact words "dont want that stupid pitbull its not good for anything" he was one of the sweetist dogs i owned. we had to put him down about a year ago due to severe arthritis that was hindring his ability to walk. he lived a long 15 years of life

So, Thor, who made a statement on it, and (afaik) agrees there should be some way to preserve certain games (an issue he raised was it being 'vague', not bad), with his history in the industry would be a great discussion.

Assuming the goal here is a good one most of us can get behind to some degree, and the execution is the problem

No shade to Thor, but he is nowhere near one of the biggest voices in the industry.
He's one of the most approachable, sure, but that doesn't mean that he's 'the guy' to talk to all things gaming if you're trying to iron out a political movement in a continent he's not even part of.
Sure, it might be a bit of extra work to get in contact with other industry veterans, mainly from the EU, but like, you can get in contact with game studios. You could ask them if they have some pointers to give. Warhorse, the folks behind GOG whose name escapes me, etc.

IMO, for Thor, it's a path of growth and I'm here for it. Been part of the community for the past 16 months or so and I'm not really put off by the drama. Conflict can be constructive and so far, it has been. Thor has spoken to Dr K and likely has his own therapist (cannot confirm, probably best not to so they don't get harassed).
His recent onstream reactions to the haters using SKG as a foothold has been pretty good as he's not been overtly aggressive
